Does anyone know....have we heard if we are going to be getting a new DOTM Human Alliace Mudflap (that we can find at retail)?
So why is the Tuner Mudflap Deco so bad anyways? figures that are named "Mudflap" haves a tendency to be a shelfwarmer.
Why would they retool the HA Skids when they have a HA Mudflap mold they can use. Give it the DotM paint job and there you go. No news but, I would bet on it.
This is technically true, but so are RotF Skids and DotM Skids. RotF was a Chevy Beat. DotM is a Chevy Spark. Different cars, even though they look similar. That's why Hasbro decided to cheat and use the last movie's HA design for him, figuring no one would notice.
Nothing was mentioned at Botcon. They only showed HA Roadbuster and the Target Exclusive HA figure... Leadfoot I believe and hinted at one other HA figure to be announced after the movie, which most likely is HA Soundwave.
Not true. The Beat and the Spark are nearly the same. The Beat was a concept car, same as the Trax. But the Beat won the poll for which would be produced. They made a few cosmetic changes, and named it the Spark. If you buy it with a Chevrolet name plate anyway. Under Daewoo it's called the Matiz, and under Holden the Barina Spark.
I dunno about y'all, but Mudflap (as well as Skids) flew off the shelves in my area. And I believe I only saw ONE HA Mudflap. There were the two variants of the regular Deluxe Mudflap - the one with the license plate saying "Trax", the other with "Mudflap". The Tuner Twins did the shelf-warming in my area. That said, my girlfriend got both Tuner Twins, and to be honest, they actually look pretty neat. And since the regular Twins had flown off the shelves in my area, I assumed no one bought 'em because no one felt the need to buy a toy they already had.
Depending how the molds break down, it might be able to swap out all the robot parts, but leave the car parts intact. If you look at HA Skids and Mudflap, almost all of their robot bits are identical, except mirrored on the arms of course.
But overall, while it may be pretty much the same car, they don't look exactly the same. I was able to tell the difference as soon as I saw the first pictures of HA Skids.
