i heard the dumbest thing today, some girl was talking to this guy about how the new moon trailer was "amazing" and crud.....seriously is there anyway a trailer can be so amazing that it beats the awesomeness that is movie devastator? i think not lol

 

I can imagine that same girl overhearing you talking about the awesomeness of Transformers, and her then going over to her Twilight forum to the say the exact same thing as you, but only about the awesomeness of Twilight ya know.

Really? Because it seems to be exactly what they used to be. Isn't this the award ceremony that gave us Best Kiss? And didn't they give like Pauly Shore a lifetime achievement award once?



Also, anyone who wants the gossip about the Eminem thing should tune into Comedy Death Ray radio this Friday - google it, you can download a streamer for iTunes etc. Aukerman will probably spill some beans about it on his show etc, and yeah.

 

It's not rigged, it's an "awards show" when people vote on certain choices. Twilight won because the target audience (teenage girls) voted en mass.

 

Maybe i'm missing something here, but why would anyone over 18 give enougth of a shit about teenage movie awards to get angry about it on the internet?

 

I think because it is the internet....everything matters right?

Award shows in general bother me. The whole idea that a movie requires an award to legitimise its appeal to the public is ridiculous. It is just another way that studios can make more money.
