Nice Josh. Have you worked w/ manga studio a lot? I've been using it a little curious if you like it better than PS?

i certainly like it a million times better for drawing/inking anyways

dont know if i'll ever leave PS for coloring/painting though [though you CAN color with it too]

mangastudio's certainly worth the investment though! its got a TON of great features tailored around drawing/inking/making comics ("manga")

Well especially if you have a tablet, something like manga studio or sketchbook pro are a lot easier/have some better tools more suited to actual drawing than Photoshop or illustrator I think. (Not that you can't do just as well with either of those programs)

Seeing as I have absolutely no experience with Manga studio, was this image 100% digital from the beginning? How much of it was by hand, compared to the effects added using the software? Is the crosshatching all done by you? Does the software do the "incomplete inking" effect, or is that you as well? Does manga studio draw from your hard drive's font folder, or from it's own?

What advantages are you finding manga studio has over PS?

oh its all completely digital from start to finish but its also entirely by hand. all the crosshatching and all that was all me. I think the only thing the program actually generated was the screen tone effect in the background

[and it uses all the fonts i have installed on my computer]

if you're curious to see me using manga studio to draw check out my latest video here on my livestream page
