I was considering making separate topics for these, but I wasn't sure. So, carrying on:

Full Metal Hero Forum - Transformers: More Than Meets the Eye #9 Preview

Full Metal Hero Forum - Transformers: Robots in Disguise Annual Preview

So great to revisit the Chaos Theory era in MTMTE. And it's especially nice to see Nightbeat again! I wonder if Quark's design was based off Animated Perceptor?

As for RiD, that Nova Prime stuff has me reeeeally curious. Anxious want to see where that goes. (that old-school feel in the art and writing is also quite delicious)

And is that Dai Atlas with Nova and friends...?

Oh god, the image with Rewind and
    Rung
    . :lol

EDIT: Scrounge and sorta-BM Rattrap are in the flashback too!

And why can't the art in Regeneration be like the art in the RID preview, it looks SO much better.

Dear God those pages of MtMtE are AMAZING. Seriously, every time I think this book can't get better it does. Amazing and making the wait for Wed. A terrible terrible thing. I don't have words.

-ZacWilliam, and the Begining of the RiD annual... Based in Marvel Comics #1 is a wonderful thing to see as well. Wednesday is gonna be EPIC.

God I hope they bring Nightbeat back someday... He'd fit in so well in either of the books...

So the Decepticons were originally a worker's revolution? Shades of communism.

Yup. Him and Rev-Tone were basically inseparable, and I think they were friends with Nightbeat, as well.

Man... it is really, really good to see Nightbeat again.

Beast Machines Rattrap and Animated Scrounge in the city scene in the first panel.

Quark is basically Animated Perceptor design-wise so that's neat.

...still waiting for Bulkhead to show up in some capacity in an IDW book eventually...and not just that vehicle mode cameo in Spotlight Blurr...

    I love MTMTE so much.

Not really. I mean he has the glasses, sure, but he doesn't immediately hit me as Animated Perceptor-like. I'm not sure it's intentional. Seeing Rattrap, and close to proper scale, is brilliant though.

Ah come on. His head is almost exactly like Animated Perceptor's.

Animated Scrounge is in the first MTMTE page.

    Pretty cool.

and yeah, that head is 100% Animated Perceptor.

MTMTE's Shadowplay will trigger Rung's mental healing?

Bitchin', now we just need to have them visit debris for a Whirl/Roadbuster argument.

Don't get me wrong, I see what people are seeing, I'm just saying glases head aside I don't see perceptor. No Microscope and the chest lacks the Perceptor tray/slide-thing and he has no wheels on his arms. I guess you could say his head is a homage, but that's it.

Also, I just realised the dead senator's head is backwards in his initial shot. The thumbs are on the same side his face is facing which, if his arms were above his head like they are, they should be on the back. (Like in Chromedome's flashback)

Heh, Rewind calls Chromedome "Domey". How adorable.

While I dig the IDW Galvatron design, it's really cool to see his slimmer classic design (though odd to see him colored like the cartoon instead of the toy in that style). And I've been reminded how bad I need a Nova Prime toy.

Actually I don't think that is his classic design. Looks more like a slimed-down de-evilized version of his regular IDW design.

You're totally right. It looked like it in the full page splash because the shoulder pads were obscured, but later on, it definitely is just a skinnier version of the IDW design.
