This. Lafuente's colors are gorgeous, don't get me wrong, but Josh's colors were one of the things that made MTMTE, MTMTE. I do however love Lafuente's space colors
Talk to the hand, ha! Don't make me put my foot down, awwwww! So they just found the Lost Light abandoned and took it for themselves, and Drift didn't even check it over before forking out a solid billion on it? Intriguing
I've always liked Rojo's art, even if it was usually pretty wonky, I liked the style. Now it's gotten even better!! And God how I want to scream at Rewind, "Don't get on board the Lost Light, whatever you do!!" in those flashback pages. . .
I think rewinds quote is a a reference to whirl and cyclonus dropping out of the sky issue one. Rungs dejavu comment gave me shivers when I read it last year. This has to be a time loop story. Glad my theory is getting backed!
Wait, Drift buys the ship pretty much blind, then gets upset when it turns out to house a Spark-Eater? That's what research is for, ya dummy!
So many great things on those three pages. -Pipes, we miss you. -"Your carrying fourteen swords" -Is it just me or does that one previous owner look like Samus? - And the Lost Light might be a hot ship. But at least it didn't have rooms full of dead protoforms, a room covered in organic skin, and a brain damaged Dinobot leader onboard.
So when Riptide is telling the story of how Drift bought the ship he says that speaking a little Hand and cost him. What did he mean by that? Drift was the one paying right? Since Drift was fluent and he spoke directly with the owners, did they say something important that Riptide couldn't understand? The Hand language was a nice bit of worldbuilding but maybe it was also a way of hiding something about the ship. And seriously, where did Drift get all that money? In his spotlight it was mentioned that he 'pays well'. He paid a billion shanix for the ship and even gave the crew spending money when they stopped at Hedonia. There has to be a story there.
maybe he has the money from Cristal City, or maybe since he was a Decepticon and just keep saving his money
Presumably something happened to Riptide in the past when communicating with someone that way. Maybe something got lost in translation and got him into trouble.
Guys, I just realized: the "hymn of the disappeared," the festival of lost light and its attendance by nails that have just arrived, and Rewind, too The festival is for people that have gone missing over the war. EDIT: though Riptide says grieving masses, so they could just be dead, too.
It is going sound strange. What if Lost Light rejecting Rodimus and had gone looking for Drift. Perhaps LL sees Drift as it's true owner and since Rodimus kick Drift off for no good reason I can see why the ship is pissed.. If Lost Light is sentient and so far has very little to do with Megatron.
It is kind of the weird moment for Drift. I mean he has two captains he should be angry at. Rodimus for being immature egotist who did not take responsibility for Overlord and Megatron who he probably feels betray his ideology. Okay Drift is going to be pissed the problem who is going be the one he piss off more.
I've probably thought about this at least once a day since Megatron switched sides. What if the members of the LL find him? Would Drift even go with them? I mean, joining Megatron's crew has got to be a mistake you only make once, right? Furthermore, how would Drift react to knowing Ratchet was still on board? It's kind of ironic, after all. Ratchet resents him so much for joining the Decepticons, and then ends up staying on the LL and working with Megs? What the heck
Roberts has confirmed before there's nothing actually special about the Lost Light itself, it's not sentient or posseses any remarkable abilities. Only stuff on it is unusual.
