    Gentlemen.

I have just finished reading MTMTE #1. After doing so, I can say fairly confidently that the McCarthy/Costa IDW dark ages are behind us, and that we are potentially entering a new golden age of Transformers comics.

Seriously though, this issue was fantastic, just as fantastic as everything else James has worked on. So much happened in this issue, it almost felt as if I was reading a TPB.

Whirl is such a dick, and I love it. Extremely interested in seeing what happens when Megatron inevitably returns and the two of them meet again.

I dug the art even though many don't. Always loved Roche's style. And even if you don't, Alex Milne will be taking over after this, so no worries.

TL;DR: Fantastic book. Buy it and support good comics in doing so!

I'm chomping at the bit for the day to be over so I can jet on over to my LCS after work and pick this issue up. I have nothing but complete faith in Roberts ability to tell an incredible TF tale.

I wonder what will happen in next issue. Appearence of unused characters also makes me happy.

Tailgate is kind of ancient transformer, right? Will he have something with Expansion and Galvatron?
Did Ratchet and Chromedome brought Cyclonus as well as Whirl and Tailgate? I expect there would be interesting interaction between those three guys.

And I realized that Prowl is so scary...

Got it today, got the Drift cover and got a nice surprise when I saw all the covers are Shiny O.O.
Absolutely loved it, though I thought costa's run was actually good, this was a step above. The characters are amazing.
    Rewind "REPERCUSSIONS" .
Though for some random reason Swerve was the standout for me, did he mention he wants to go on a QUEST.

Said this in the preview thread but it bears repeating here:

    WOW.

    Just... Wow.

Read the first issue digitally... That was just spectacular!

There was more great characterization, plot, mystery, and story hooks than any score of other TF (or most other) comics. More comments to come this evening when I have time to type. But.. Wow, can't wait for 2...

ZacWilliam, this is what ALL TF comics should be...

    Wish Newsarama took comments.

His review clearly misses the important facts that 1) these plotlines were set up in Death of Optimus Prime and 2) That Bumblebee and the Cybertron situations are being covered by the companion book Robots in Disguise coming soon.

If he read the first and knew of the second I feel like that'd diffuse a lot of his issues.

One of the things I hate about the current Newsarama set up is that there's no way to respond to the review and say that.

    :p

Indeed. Also, about the "slow things down" comment... don't. The pacing of this issue was fine. I don't need more Costa-paced, unsatisfactory issues.

Prowl's a dick. Love him. Love what they've done with that character.

I loved that they did sound effects for the dead Transformer. Spelling that sound out looks difficult.

    Cyclonus and Whirl, great fight.

Ominus message at the end was fantastic. I can't wait for more! I hope RID is half as good as this.

    tl;dr
    It was fucking awesome.

This will be my first digital purchase. Will I be able to transfer it from my laptop to my phone?

You can't transfer the file per se, but you'll be able to view it anywhere ComiXology comics can be viewed. For your laptop there's the web app, and there are ComiXology apps for iPhone and Android.

I cannot say enough good things about this issue. It was amazing. And that cliffhanger, I want to know who that was in the message at the end!

Read through it last night (hooray for day-early delivery so I can do a bunch of reading and be able to make more recomendations to my customers :)  ) and love the potential that the issue shows. Hopefully some of the "Lost in Space" characters will be followed up on either in the main comic or as a set up for the club fiction...
