MSN Messenger help

    okay ive been having problems with my MSN so [I tried removing/re-installing it. well I used the add/remove programs thing on the computer and removed the Essentials part but I still cant redownload it. ive tried a system restore but it wont come back and ive tried this as well "msiexec /x {0AAA9C97-74D4-47CE-B089-0B147EF3553C}" but I still cant remove whatever is left of it. so has anyone else had this issue? if so can somone please help me with it? I use my MSN alot and being without it kinda sucks :(

    Try using the Windows Installer Clean Up utility. Then delete the any left over programs files, restart. The ntry downloading the Windows Live package again.

    support.microsoft.com search for windows installer clean up

    download and install

    then open your local disk, usually c, go to program files, delete any msn ones

    alright man got it thank you so much you just saved the day for me :D 

    unfortunately my original problem is still there :mad:  does anyone else get error report messages when they sign in?

    Yep, Sometimes, search the type the error message on google and people on forums will help :)

    that same is true for basically any error lol heck, i even once tried that with a comcast cable box error... i just searched for the error number, and found out that the way to fix it was just to unplug it, and plug it back in *to reset the thing*

    so yea. googling errors for computer programs is quite helpful, like he said :)
