Well you weren't far off. He's a yellow Ramhorn with a different head. At least when TT pulled these shenanigans with MP Soundblaster/Ratbat, you got a completely new mold to mess around with.

Twincast is an easy pass. If MST releases a proper cassette 4-pack. I'll pick it up in a heartbeat.

that steel jaw is a joke just like their ramhorn. if they would have at least tried i could give them the benefit of the doubt. like DX9 and bulldog ravage but as it sits these MS animals are weak as hell.

until someone comes out with a better set than these. i would say this is where bar is with the autobot cassettes.

 

Yeah, definitely not MST'a finest work. But I have no attachment whatsoever to Ramhorn or Steeljaw -- or Stereoblaster for that matter! -- so I'm not going to get hysterical over it.

Nice. Don't have a Twin Cast in my collection, so definitely interested.

 

I found this mold to be the most disappointing of the MS molds so far. Robot mode has the trademark awesome articulation I expected, and there are several great transformation moments, but the way the arms just don't bother transforming makes the alt mode a huge letdown. It looks like they could have done something there but they just didn't finish it. Compared to Sideswipe, Huffer, and Trailbreaker, this one ranks last for me, and with that "steeljaw" I don't see any reason to pick up Twincast.

 

Mine arrived yesterday and I agree. I like it and I’m glad I got it, but it doesn’t feel like it’s on the same level as the others. I thought the same thing you did about the arms. It’s like...there’s spaces there for the arms to go, but they just said “f**k it, close enough.”

 

Funny how we all have our own annoyances. The gaping void between Sideswipe's head and chest bothers me the most. I would place him as the weak figure.

On Blaster, you do have the arms folded at the first joint, right? I only say this because the first few times I transformed him, I didn't realize there were two joints there and the arms hung ridiculously far from the back of his boom box mode.



I may not have enough imagination but without changing up a lot of the bot, I'm not sure where they'd have hidden his arms. They essentially would have needed a second set of false panels like the ones that make up his front.

PS I like the figure but I won't be getting the blue one. No interest in it nor the cassettes that come with either.

Second PS Now I see the gap between the legs and the hollow space in the lower leg. Does seem like with a clever hinge somewhere they could have fit that in there somehow. I'm not that clever. I didn't even notice the space until just now. Still fine with mine as is. It just doesn't jump out at me as much.

Why do people leave the tape deck buttons pushed all the way down 180 degrees?? It looks awkward. Just push them up.

 

It also keeps the waist from being able to swivel. I’ve wondered, too.

 

To remind me that I'll need to sand down the buttons in order to get rid of those injection molding circles when I get mine.
