Oh, I'd get Shockwave. I just don't know what his alt mode would be, since he never transformed.

Just throwing this out there, but based on how similar the tank modes look on both his cyberverse, and voyager class figures, I’d say he did indeed have an alt. mode designed, even if it was never seen in the film:

I need some movie concept art to verify that. So far, Driller is his alt mode. Luckily for us I've been granted a sneak peak at a prototype MPM Driller:

There's also a lot of unreleased concept art from the movies, this alt-mode didn't came from the nothing, it was inspired by something, because there is no way they would scratch it when it was used by two different toys.

I'd be completely fine with MP's of the non- transforming bots not transforming either. The toy alt modes were kind of ridiculous and also managed to compromise the bot modes in the process. I say keep it simple for a better toy.

I'd accept this Cybertronian tank alt mode for MPM Shockwave only if the bot mode had those tank tracks hidden entirely. They're visible on both toys in the bot mode but never visible on the CGI model.

Yeah I don't mind made-up cybertronian alt-modes at all. They just need to try much harder.

I agree with your list , but I don't think we need a Ravage , the deluxe one is pretty neat

Looking at the CGI model and the Prime 1 statue, i’d say that if they engineerd the wheel in such a way that it would free roll for car mode but if it’s pushed in or pulled out on it’s rolling axle turns into a ratchet joint it will work as a shoulder joint.

Getting the wheel in the shoulder is something else entirely and haven’t figured a good way to do that yet.

Then again that’s HasTaks job, not mine :p

well, if they managed to make the wheels in ironhide able to be inside in the hips, anything can be happening.

This is the closest thing I found to a concept art:

It's the Botshots art and here it shows Shockwave as a tank. It's not concrete proof but it further verifies the fact he's intended to be a tank.

I couldn't see the image either.

Anyway, tank or flying....thing tend to be the defaults for cybertronian modes. I'm fine with the "tank" for Shockwave and the "jet" for Megatron and the fallen.

It's probably been discussed somewhere in the 69 pages of this thread.....but, are the enormous flat panels supposed to be there on his forearms in bot mode?

I recall the old Leader class having that, and lots of people complained of kibble....strange that a new MP version of this guy would have the exact same thing. Is that CGI accurate or something?
