I rather have them take their time than releasing this figure as fast as they can and end up with MPM-04 levels of quality control issues.
Here's the thing: Hasbro's photo department is terrible at setting up the toys, but the lighting is excellent, with barely any shadows. Meanwhile, Takara (or presumably Part One, assuming they still handle Takara photography after all these years) might be better at posing the toys, but they keep using dark backgrounds and lighting that creates a lot of shadows, which ends up looking terrible after editing out the backgrounds. Compare these Hasbro and Takara photos: Takara has better poses, while Hasbro has better lighting.
Oh my god, is part of you going inside the OS cannon or... is the cannon going in you?! Where Movie-bots are concerned, I'm in the same boat. I just want the best designed figure- although I'm pretty much done with the SS line at its current scale now that Black Mamba are seemingly improving upon everyone they OS. You clearly weren't one of us who waited a good 18 months for MP Dinobot. Now that was painful although I think at least half of that wait time was actually spent designing the figure. They just announced it WAAAAYYYY too early. Sometimes ignorance is bliss.
The spouse doesn't necessarily have to be female And yeah, the long with for mpm Ironhide was definitely worth it. I can't tell you guys how much I love that gloss black. It just adds so much oomph to the figure
Don't worry, with increasing brand unification, we can probably expect mistransformed figures with dark shadows hooray! /s Moo moo? Moo! Moo moo.
I'm not saying they shouldn't take their time but you don't need 11 months just to polish your products quality after already revealing it. That's the kind of time developers would need on their video games, hastak is just working on a toyline. 5 to 6 months is more than enough time to make sure your not sending another MPM-04 to the public.
Ironically that's one of the few times I've seen takara photography where the figure is mistransformed just like the hasbro one is.
With the levels of issues Ironhide may be running into, who knows how much time they need. I'm sure they'd love to get this guy out the door as fast as they can so they can let their engineers move on to other products, but as it stands, they didn't mind waiting and fixing some issues. Also, I'm sure there's a whole approval process they have to go through on each change they make. It's a good thing as we're already seeing some improvements. Plus, it's not like they're working on Ironhide 24/7. They have Siege, SS, Botbots, Cyberverse, and countless other Transformers merchandising to work on, let alone the other brands they manage.
Blue running lights, no printed autobot logo, and a filled in license plate for three..... I will say though, he does seem to have a bit more detail than initial pics. Maybe hasbro is taking some of our complaints to heart.
That stuff doesn’t bother me. When MPM Bee came out over a year ago, I did something I rarely do: dropped $80 on sight. I digged him despite being all matte black with a couple dabs of silver. But then LT-01 came out... and with all those wonderfully painted details I don’t even notice the missing microscopic Autobot logo on his helmet.
I actually thought he came out already, but either way I can't wait 'til he does. I never got any of the MPM figures yet, but they are definitely on my want list.
