That's interesting. The guy had to override then tell another guy to take the other one off the shelf. He almost took The mp-10's off. Oh well, the important thing is I got mine.
Even talked to the manager about it. He said we've had a lot of weird stuff like that happen recently, like playdough dated for 12/23, but when I put in the number at a register it goes through fine.
BTW, prime is still coming up street dated but bee is good. I'd imagine if you give it a week Prime should be fine too.
The local TRU wouldn't sell me one even though I showed him pics of the item and receipt from a TRU less than an hour away dated the previous day. He said some BS like they'd be fined up to $1,000 per item for broken street dates. I even called them ahead of time to see if they had them on the shelves and in stock, drove 30 minutes there only to get that crap response. The only thing they'd do is put me on a list so that I could be notified when they go on sale. Why would I need to get notified if they told me the street date is 11/1? Just in case I was braindead and forgot? ~Paik
Awesome, My part of Canada should be getting these in around January next year! Woohoo. Or if it turns out to be a rare occurrence like voyager Megatron they should be out by the time I get home from work in two weeks. Haha
There were a couple on the shelf (with a price tag on the shelf) at the Staten Island NY TRU. I bought one, and it rang up with a street date, but they overrode it and let me purchase. I did overhear them talking about pulling the rest off the shelves. Not sure if Prime arrived before Bee, or I just missed Bee. Hope to get him soon!
At one of my local TRU's the associate I talked to said they asked upper management about selling MP Movie Prime but they were never given a clear answer. Sounded like they were sent back to the distribution center due to being street dated too.
Would that be the same number for Canadian TRU? Also my local TRU got MPM-3 a few weeks ago and it never had a street date, and I got the discount too. Odd that MPM-4 is having these issues.
Thanks for the heads up. Didn't want to press the issue with the associate since he's been very helpful in the past.
