I am thinking of buying an mp3 player in about a month can any one help me with choosing which player to buy I have a $200 dollar budget. I have never had one before so i am not sure what to be looking for .
I had a PSP, which I used for MP3s. It was pretty cool and could play games/movies. The only draw back was the terrible sound quality through the headphones and it's bulky. I bought an Apple Itouch last week and I'm loving it. Plays pretty cool bar room games, internet, and holds a very decent amount of music. Really though, it all depends on what you want to get out of your player. Just straight up music then ya can get a simple one probably any brand.
Itouch is the best the market as to offer imo at this time. Not sure how much they're going for though. I hear Zunes are also decently decent.
Buy a PSP 1.You can Play games 2.It can play your MP3 or Itunes Music on PSP(comes in handy if your Ipod gets....) 3.INTERNET!!!!!! 4.INTERNET RADIO!!!! 5.RSS Downloader Great for Compatable Podcast TFW is compatable 6.PICTURES!!!!! 7.put movies on it 8.HD BABY!!!!!!! 9.Cost 170.00 dollars (30 less than said touch) 10.PSP Bundles cost 200.00 apiece 11.it goes on Or just get a 280.00 dollar Ipod Touch.
$200.00?? I'd go with the PSP bundle as mentioned above, or save up the extra $30.00 and get an iPod Touch. For all it does, it's worth it. Someone mentioned internet radio over the PSP, well you can get it for iPod as well through the App Store. They have Pandora (totally free, so's the registration) and AOL Music. (Which uses XM for it's radio service.) Either one will do a number of things for you, but the iPod Touch seems to have a bit more going for it, considering it's all self contained, whereas the PSP has memory sticks, headphones, etc. (iPod has a built in speaker that works quite nicely.)
Originally, I had the headphones that came with the PSP. They sucked bad. Eventually I bought some Sonys that you could the volumn up from the headset. I agree though. PSP is great, but it means buying alot of extra add-ons. And it isn't the MP3 if your gonna be doing alot of walking around with it.
The iPod Touch isn't a bad choice but I'd recommend the 120GB Classic if you're not looking into any other bells and whistles.
Yes, there's a lot of programs out there that can replace iTunes completely - at least for the iPods that came before the touch model. I'm not sure about that. If you want a music player, go with something other than the PSP. It's great and all, but I would never use it as my main MP3 player.
Well, it's designed to work with the iPod. It's a pretty decent program anyway. It offers a free song every week to download for free and lots of times free movies and TV Shows. In the past week I've got the first episode of Blue Dragon and a behind the scenes of Invincible. And recently I had some issues with a Digital Copy DVD and when I emailed store support they gave me some TV Show and song credits for my frustration.
I dont own a mp3 my mom wanted an i pod and i had to set it up for her I tunes is a pain in the ass. this was last year i did it for her. That is why i wanted to know if you can have an ipod with out i tunes.
i could go for that 120gb Classic- considering what it offers, it would be an end all device. glad i stopped in here. good luck, Dr. Wheeljack with your search.
This. Plus you can watch movies and shows on it, not to mention view pics on it. Got one (8GB, still have my 1GB Shuffle as backup) on Sunday and loving it. And iTunes seems pretty decent for me. So yeah, buy whatever MP3 player brand you like. Yes, you can have a iPod without iTunes, MMM just said it in his post.
You can do all that on a classic too. But it has a lot more storage space.I have over 80 gigs of music and 40 gigs of video so the Touch wasn't really an option for me and for people who have larger music collections it's not really practical. But he didn't list a program to use. And I'm not sure what issues one could have with iTunes. Download 8.0.2 plug in the iPod. Name it. Sync it. Eh. In the end it doesn't matter just don't pick a PSP as a music player!
Why is it so hard to understand that some people simply hate iTunes? I use Yamipod on my Nano, but as for a Touch iTunes replacement, after a little research I'm sad to say that the ipod Touch is not (yet) supported by anything I could find other than iTunes. Those Apple bastards decided to lock the Touch into iTunes with a hash key. That sucks, as I wanted to upgrade to a Touch. Until somebody jailbreaks it from iTunes, I will NOT buy one. Apple and iTunes can suck it.
Yep. We're bastards alright. Ironically enough my 30GB is going in for repair soon because of a failing logic board. *rage*
