So, i mentioned this in the News thread, but it never really got picked up on...

How do you think the TF Classics version going to stack up to MP03 ~ since they've likely been working on them at approximately the same times, do you think it'll benefit from some of the design ideas seen here (kinda like how RM Primal is a scaled down and slightly simplified version of BW Ultra Primal) like the killer arm transformation?

Kinda crazy we're getting 2 unique F-15 Starscream mold so close together, especially since after next year Starscream will probably be a F-22...

Not a thing, other than what we know based on Astrotrain, very articulate and accurate to the original toys and TV show models.

I swear, that Astrotrain proto is the most exciting thing I've seen since the first pix of Alt/BT Smokescreen... When's SDCC again? (<-- my educated guess as to when we'll see wave 1)

Here's a thought. Is it certain the the TF Classics Starscream picture people saw at Botcon was the TF Classics or could it have been the MP?

it was during their presentation of the classic line, so I'd say the possibility of confusion would be nill, especially since Hasbro hasn't so much as muttered anything whatsoever about them doing an MP starscream, so far that is SOLEY a Takomy thing.

I though MP molds were too expensive for only one of the companies to handle. Unless this has changed, shouldn't there be a pretty good chance of MP Starscream being released here?

This might not be the right place to say it but I hope the TF classics have an old style box too.

Deluxe ~ Prime (with Trailer) Jetfire, Soundwave and Megatron are all Voyagers/Megas (according to rumor)
my biggest hope is that they'll use the classic logo. i HATEthe logo they've been using since RiD ~ but if this line is modelled anything at all like the Star Wars Vintage Classics line, there's a good chance that both our dreams will come true

Classics Starscream is basically a mini MP Starscream. He looked that good. Think of him as a happy medium between RM Starscream (size-wise) and MP Starscream (detail and overall look).

yes the chances are good I think, but that doesn't change the fact that its two separate toys, and that hasbro hasn't said a word about any MP starscream thereby meaning that at Botcon, one couldn't have confusded that with the classics one. I honestly don't see any classics being anywhere near as big as an MP anyway, I mean, that line is only deluxes and megas.

Which do I think will be better? The toy I've only seen design sketches of or the toy I haven't seen anything of? There is no way to legitimately answer that.

Classics Starscream (from what I remember of the slide) is really apples and oranges to the MP-03 thing.

Like, Classics is Deluxe sized while the MP is...MP-sized, for one. :D

I think the Classics prototype didn't have the sickly overwhelming techline deal that the MP has, either, but don't hold me to it.

i guess i was more hypothizing as to wherther or not TFC Starscream might benefit from some of the ideas we're seeign in MP03... no so much a "better or worse" comparison...

I've got high hopes for the classic lines - especially seeing Astrotrain. All I'm worried is the paint job! will TakaraTommy release their version of classic lines too?

I'd rather see MP starscream since it's more in scale with the alternator line. I think Classics starscream will be great as well, I really cant see them f'ing that up in a G1 revival line. It'll be highly detailed and show accurate except tiny!
