Crap, does TT not want people but this thing?
They do, but only through their special club which WILL have the 'anime' accurate one.
Oh yeah, and this was already reported.
I'll be surprised if those are the final colors.
I dunno. This could be a photoshopped vesion.
At least it's not Action Master Thundercracker.
But it's almost that bad. This just doesn't make any sense from a money-making standpoint. To make the most money, they want to sell the most toys. An exclusive is a drop in the bucket compared to the wide release. Wouldn't they want to sell as much of the wide release as possible?
It's obviously Photoshopped, but do you expect toy companies to actually paint every time they want to test a color scheme? No. They digi-bash like the rest of us. Takara does official digi-bashes all the time. Granted, they don't look as bad as this... I'm hoping this is all a cruel lie.
...what the HELL. seriously.
pink, blue and lighter blue........yeeeeeeah.
If this turns out to be the real colors, I'm canceling my preorder.
Hey look! It's G1 Marvel Comics Issue #2 colored Starscream!
I guess pink is the new "in" color for Starscream now eh?
I see. Not exactly the same but close enough.
Still ugly tho =__-||||
Wow, talk about crap.
Only way I will be getting him looking like this is if I plan on doing a MP repaint.
there's another posibility of the poor color.
that is, to avoid conflicting with hasbro's classic starscream, hasbro forced takara to get mp03 this stupit color. just a thought. but i really hope this is NOT true. they just ruined a great toy!
if you'ld have said this was a e-Hobby exclusive, then I would have believed it (they photoshop all the time, but generally better than this )
I don't think they can "force" Takara like that. Besides, Takara isn't painting their new edition of Masterpiece Convoy a different color because of Classics Optimus Prime, so why would this be different? I seriously doubt this is what the finished prodict will look like anyway.
Uh hu... all Hasbro's fault, it couldn't possably be Takaratomy's fault.
Speaking of Hasbro, I hope they bring this out over here in proper colors, even if it's all plastic.
Erm, Takara will be releasing it in cartoon colours in their collectors club as an exclusive. Hasbro has nothing to do with them deciding to go with this colour scheme.
More likely it has to do with Kawamori wanting the regular release to be in realistic jet colours, which he prefers.
I concur - with that color scheme the jet mode would be much more realistic and there would be absolutely no robot kibble visible. Looks like they're focusing on Alt Mode for this guy... which I'm really not all that put off by, since it's the engineering of toys that draws me in and not the color schemes.
Different strokes, I suppose... but he'll still make an incredible Skywarp, no doubting that.
Well if these are the colors....I need to brush up on my repainting skills....because it will be repainted to G1....just like my 20th Prime.
This picture is said to be taken on the day the show is only open to the industry people, not to general fans.
(I don't know if it's photoshopped, but there's a certain Japanese guy who posts pics from this sort of toy fairs even though photo taking is not permitted.)
Apparently this coloured version was not popular and taken away on the days general public visited the toy show.
TakTom rep reportedly said this is not the final colour scheme.
Just some additional info I'm not buying this toy myself.
