I have all 3 Masterpiece Takara seekers (Skywarp, Thundercracker, and Greenscream), and I have US Walmart Starscream. None of them had issues with the mold that I could tell.

The molds might be getting a bit overused, though, because my Walmart Skywarp came with several places that tabs from the part tree had been carelessly detached (needed sanding), and had a very prominent mold line down the center of the canopy.

The bigger issue: He doesn't fit together quite right in jet mode. As I mentioned, I have all other issues of this release (unless you count the Japanese G1 colors ver), and have had no problems.

Did anyone else have these problems with their Walmart Masterpiece Skywarp? Should I exchange him, or would I just get the same problems on a new fig?

Mine doesn't really have any problems. The funny thing is, of the 6 I have (MP-3, MP-6, MP-7, Walmart SS, USA Edition SS, and Walmart SW) the green Starscream had the most quality control issues.

I don't have the others to compare, but mine is pretty seamless in jet mode.

I have some minor issues. The lower legs don't quite peg 100% flush (about 90% flush) and I have to fight with the hip kibble to get it pegged into the leg (the peg and hole are slightly off). Also, one of the pieces that rotate on the side of the front air intake trunks has an issue with that hinge piece. When I rotate that hinge 180 degrees out, the little piece pops off (not that whole side module, just that hinge). The vector engines are slightly loose. They tend to move with greater ease when compared to previous versions of this mold.

Other than that, it's very sturdy. The fingers and hands are actually stiff compared to my US Starscream (which are loose). I'm pleased with mine and give the quality a 9/10.

This is one of the issues with mine. If I do get it to fit together, it pops the wing/arm peg. I seemingly can choose whether I want the leg/hip kibble to peg OR the wing/arm, but not both.

I have more issues with my Classics Skywarp than my MP.

Yeah, the legs just don't seem to peg together on mine as well. And one of the pieces on his foot (the afterburner or whatever it'd called) was kind of loose.

Transforming it can be a pain with the leg problem, but other than that, I really like the figure.

My MP Skywarp fits together better in jet mode than my MP Starscream does (both the US versions)

My MP Starscream fits together pretty well, but yeah, my MP Skywarp has some issues when I try to transform him into the fighter jet. Also, the little tab on the clear stand doesn't fit that well into the little hole on his back.

I have 2 MP Skywarps. One of them had the infamous wing joint crack right out of the box, and the other has a stress mark there, again, out of the box before I touched it. Both of them do not fit the butt peg into the hole in the stand; I had to take a screw and widen the hole.

Mine doesn't fit together quite right in jet mode either. Also, he doesn't want to peg into the stand in robot mode. My MP Starscream has neither of these issues.

Yeah, this happens with both of mine (see post above). Just take 15 minutes with a screw or some other kind of thin abrasive tool, apply some elbow grease, and rub the hole until it's big enough.

Mine has no problems at all, he fits together perfectly in jet mode.
