Yes, another Skywarp graces the boards here. I've spent hours just sanding this guy down--the articulation is quite a bit improved over the original, reducing wear. I've also done the waist and shoulder mods. It was quite a learning process, and I'm not 100% happy with this, but I don't think it's too bad for a first try. I've got some repolabels coming; I'm going to replace the Decepticon symbols with those once they arrive. I know the symbols are upside-down, but I prefer them that way. Dying the canopy gave me problems: is the heat of the water, or the ratio of water to acetone more important? I've read the kitbasher thread, but this point is not discussed. For those interested: I used light industrial high-gloss alkyds and some general-use lacquers (the white and purple), and a light-industrial lacquer clear-coat on top (I work at a commercial paint store ). I found that using a water/lysol mix removed the 'tackiness' of the alkyd coat; just rub it on with a tough paper-towel. I'll post some jet pics tomorow. I've already got another Starscream on order--next up, Thundercracker!
That's pretty sweet looking man! I couldn't aford it but It's nice to look at (eyes his MP Starscream, who ironically is pointing a null ray at him) I like it, Hasbro and Takara would make more money if they did the seekers

Very nice. I think Takara would make more money on the seekers if they upped the size of the mold first and released a properly colored Starscream.

Nice paintjob. Still not a big fan of this mold though. I enjoy the classics one more. I cant wait to see the Thundercracker though!

I wanted some detail on the fins, and many F-15's do have a horizontal stripe. I was going to do stripes similar to the wings, but I decided to keep it simple--this has been a nightmare project. wavelength: shoulder mod info can be found here: http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/showthread.php?t=112347 Here's one last robot mode pic: And the jet mode. I'm not happy at all with how the pieces articulate here, especailly since I sanded the hell out of it pre-paint. Particulalry annoying are how the legs don't meet up with the fusalage, even though they 'click' into place nicely and won't move forward anymore.
