I ordered MMC Cyclops not long ago from BBTS sale. After receiving it, I really like the boat mode, but I don't know where to put the robot itself since I have so many version of Shockwave already, like MP29, FT, C9 for mine MP collection, and Movie, TFP, BT, FOC shockwave for my CHUG line. One idea came to my mind: I'm missing one modernized Decepticon figure in my collection, which can transform into a huge boat! Tidal Wave! (The Titan Return version is too small for my taste, so I didn't bother paying for it). The DIY project is really easy, I have a junk energon Tidal Wave, just removed the head, cut and filed a few place until it fits. Next thing is repaint. ( I used a silver plus some blue color, trying my best to match the color of MMC Cyclops, still the color is a little bit different. T_T) That's it, the best part is there is no need to modify MMC Cyclops at all, I can still sell it as loose complete set. (Of course after this little DIY project, I won't do that. ) To use the new head, just don't fold Cyclops' head out, let it stay in the chest of Cyclops, like this: Just plug the new head, now done. I have a impressive modernized new Tidal Wave joined my Decepticon army! (For boat mode, I borrowed the pic from Wolfdawg's nice photo here, since I'm too lazy to transform it into boat again. Mastermind Creations KM-03 Knight Morpher Cyclops) And Shockwave can still work with this big guy together. Even in my MP collection, it's not too shabby. It's huge and bulky, that's Tidal Wave.
FUCK!! this was something i was contemplating for so long but convinced myself it'd look dumb so i'd stop being tempted but this looks so cool. hooooly shit. amazing work man, the stompy boots really work
Amazing! But it would dang near perfect if you took off them paddles and replaced them with space turbines or some junk, and maybe scifi'd up the turrets? in any case it looks super cool and has me searchin for one o' them fancy Cyclopes.
Awesome job, like this much better than Tidal Waves original figure. Maybe a touch of green here or there to really drive it home.
