Hey all, just wondering, but has anyone tried making the MP seeker mold look more like the protofo, er.. Uhm.. Prototype we never got??
there's a tutorial on the mod forum that's been there since the Walmart version came out over a year ago to do that.
No, I'm talkin about removing the mold fuselage and making it the jet mode look like a regular f15 and the a strike.
well the piece you're talking about just pops off. Only real mold changes you'd need to make beyond popping that off and doing the leg-mod would be to alter the outter part of the forearms. Thing is, just doing the leg mod addresses the only real glaring change they made between the original prototype and the final mold, the other things are really minor in person, and don't really hurt the robot mode at all while honestly improving the jetmode.
Yes, I did. And while the mod for the fin is an awesome one, it still isn't what I'm trying to do. I'm trying to make this figure as close to the original prototype as I can when I'm done with it. This is involving cutting the fuselage off the arms, removing it from the tailfin pieces and mounting them to the legs to look... More like the classics version without it swiveling, though it will utilize the sliding technique used in the tutorial... More or less.. I think this is just going to take a while to do between work and school, so. I hope I've clarified things a bit more? Maybe??
http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/tutor...scream-tailfin-waist-kibble-modification.html Aside from what's in this tutorial, what else are you wanting to do that's aside from what REDLINE's mentioned? IRRC, the leg transform/hip kibble transform were the only drastic differences. That tutorial discusses the hip kibble mod. The rest shouldn't be too bad. If you want, when you do it, feel free to create a photo tutorial for it
I am completely removing the fuselage from the vehicle mode, well... trying to any way. I can try to keep up with a wip posting, but as i said in my last post, this will probably take a while betwee work and school. Should I post this in the customs thread seeing how it is technically the beginings of a wip??
Don't beat yourself up, bud. There's always the "EDIT" button in the right hand corner. Plus, you're in a place where people are willing to help ya out
Oh I'm not beatin on myself sq7. just was thinkin while typing is all. Anyway. I'll try to keep yall updated on progress. I've had the arms done for a while, but they're @ my old place I think.. Gotta find em n snap some pix.. Forgot about thos parts. Was affraid I was gonna need to make a new set.
