I keep hearing that people were complaining about the colors. That somehow it's colored like Rodimus, but not Hot Rod ( or was it the other way around? ). From the images I've looked at, Hot Rod's colors didn't change when he became Rodimus. He just got taller. Anyone have any good pic evidence of any color differences between Rodimus and Hot Rod to justify the disagreement about his colors?

Depends on the medium - personally, I liked the Marvel Comic approach where Hot Rod was more magenta coloured, while Rodimus Prime was a more Red and Orange colured - I like the two characters being different in appearance. I still like the way that the MP Rodimus Prime/Hot Rod toy incorporates both modes, but I also like the fact that the original toys actual are quite a bit different - both in robot mode and their vehicle modes. I was never much of a fan of the cartoon/movie idea that Rodimus Prime was just a taller version of Hot Rod.

But all things said, I think that the MP Rodimus Prime is incredibly well developed.

They always looked the same color to me, but I'm color blind.

They settled on a very appropriate color choice.

But I think they could have settled on something a bit more shiny and red that popped slightly more. (but then I LOVE greenscream and like it when they put aesthetic first and accuracy a close second rather than the other way around)

But I am very much looking forward to this!

It's varied. I prefer both hot rod and Rodimus to be red

Magenta never felt appropriate to me. He's a boy. He's young. Hot headed. Turns into a sweet lookin hot rod with flames on it and high exhaust pipes. that screams red to me :)

It's most obvious in the G1 catalog. Hot Rod is hot pink and Prime is more of a maroon.

Since we're talking MP Rodimus here, what scale would MP Rodimus be in?

Would he be like the size of MP-01 Prime and MP-05 Megatron (Hopefully) or the size of The Seekers/Grimlock?

    Slightly taller than Grimlock, IIRC.

I think, it was later decided by Takara that Prime was too big, and they simply made Megatron the size he was so he wouldn't be dwarfed by Prime.

Otherwise, Masterpiece molds are probably going to stick to the smaller size in future.

Although if there's ever a Galvatron... they may have to make some sort of compromise between keeping it in scale with Roddy and Prime as well.
