dam it! so close. I was ready to hit submit my order and then it went to a blank screen and I didnt see my money withdrawn so I guess that means my order didnt go through

 

I was actually poking fun at the people that do camp out on the internet.

 

So are they putting more up every couple hours or so? Or has it been rather sporadic? I've been at work all night, so I missed most of the chances for it so far.

 

Guys, RELAX! It became available not too long ago. What did you all expect? For there to be a seemingly infinite supply that everyone gets a fair shot at? It's a highly anticipated collector's item. It's going to sell out within the first couple of hours, even days. This is inevitable.

 

Heh! I wasn't camping out last night but right before I went to bed, I saw that MP Roddy was available online and jumped on the order.

 

The problem I have is that it sold out before it was even officially on sale.

When TRU changed the banner from "Coming Soon" to "On Sale," Rodimus was already gone because TRU had already been selling them even though the official SDCC page still said "Coming Soon." That's not real cool on TRU's part. Though nothing really surprises me with this company anymore.

I understand a quick sell out, the Star Wars set sold out in an hour of going on sale, but at least then everyone got to buy one at the same time.

 

It will be my most expensive Targetmaster figure ever.

 

Online toy collecting is some serious shit.

 

Also, it went on sale at 2 in the morning my time, and was long gone by 9 in the morning, which is the time that my TF-obsessed ass tends to check the boards.

I'll be as miffed as I damn well want. And make no mistake, I WILL go without before I hand a scalper a cent in profit.

 

I'd rather just wait out all of the online craziness, but that's just me. I didn't find out about it being on sale until this morning, but I saw no reason to be upset. This sort of thing happens, especially with limited quantities and people having the benefit of differing time zones, varying internet access, etc.

Despite this, I've no plans to pay scalper prices. If you're patient and remain firm, the right deal/opportunity will eventually come along.

(That's how I picked up most of the recent RTS/Gens releases at or below retail cost.)

 

I was just on ebay a moment ago and I'm overwhelmed looking at those asking prices for this figure and the Ultimate Prime. The Ultimate Prime ebay asking prices are ridiculous, I personally don't think it's worth the $140-$160 mark it's up at..

Patience is the key!

 

Will these be showing up on HTS soon? I was saving my groupon for it.
