I agree on the point about the drunk guy....he totally would have broke it if there was a danger.

People are allowed to complain about figures they don't own. Now that I know the figure is poorly built or fragile, ill pass on it. Predaking was expensive and he came to me in perfect condition. A very solid figure. Why can't rodimus, a highly anticipated figure arrive the same way? Ill pass on this one.

It would be funny if Hasbro says we are going to cancel MP Hot Rod, all the ppl that said they wouldn't get one, would be scrambling to get one.

So your comparing a mold thats over 20 years old that has been tweaked into almost perfection for what it is to a newly released mold that has it flaws. Almost every re-use of a mold has corrected most of the flaws. Predaking was originally designed as a toy targeted for kids. While the Masterpiece line is targeted primarily for collectors that is used for displaying.

No one says that people are not allowed to complain about a mold they do not own. It's the mob mentality of "worst figure" or "he sucks" posts with nothing to add to the topic.

Because Predaking is a brick with few moving parts? Made of diecast metal?

It's a matter of perspective. Compared to collector items from other lines, maybe this seems like a steal. Compared to other Transformers (and you can tag this with the collector label, but it's still a transformer), is it really worth 5x the cost of some leader class figures? To some people yes, to others, no.

I'm going to experiment with the spoiler when I finally ship my PoL from BBTS. There is a fix for sticky paint on Universe 2.0 figures. People where putting some type of clear coat over the troubled areas. I will try it on the spoiler and see if it will protect the paint. Of course I will still be careful when I handle it.

I really don't understand people on this forum at all. They always seem to come to the defense of the corporations.

Here is the point. People have a right to complain when they spend $215 on a toy that comes defective. In addition, it is rediculous that this is now the QC on these MP figures. My MP-04 has the hideous chest misaligment and I got mine for $250. At least it doesn't break.

I have seen everything on this toy:
    - Spring in his leg is broken
    - Paint Chips
    - Parts breaking off

For gods sake this is $200+ dollars for plastic. Your talking about $10 in materials for this thing. So what the hell are we paying the extra $190 for? It should at the very least have good QC.

For those that don't think so, you guys are a bunch of suckers. I have some junker cars you can buy at full price if you want them. The fact is, you shouldn't have to fix a new toy.

I kinda agree with Alucard. It's the terrible truth. While I doubt the materials cost just $10 (probably more like $25 :p  ), what are we paying for? QC? hmm, nope, apparently not.

I'm glad I didn't preorder the TT version now. Hopefully the Hasbro version is up to par. I'm really quite shocked by the QC problems with this figure. They might not be as widespread as we think, but they shouldn't exist.

I am just happy I work in NYC. I am going to pick one of these up in person. I will open the box and make sure that everything looks like it should look while I am at the store.

Sad thing is, I probably won't even transform this for the fear of it breaking.

Put up a video of what time I was able to spend with the figure in my original post. Did not record all the hassle I went through getting the panels to stay on.

This is really all that needs to be said. There's a lengthy thread on these very boards about stress marks on RTS Wreckgar's shoulders and that toy costs $10. So why does it surprise some of you that a $200+ toy with issues right out of the box is so disappointing to others?

Predaking is a brick made of bricks. It's hard to mess up a toy so simple.

I'll reserve judgement until the thing is in my hands. People have broken tabs on MP Megatron and mine has stayed in tact. Granted it did draw blood from me twice, so it's not perfect either.
