I got my MP Roddy's hood to sit flush without poping up at all.....woo hoo!!!!
And you made a thread about that why?
Roddy's in my hood too. For a while now.
Because it is a very annoying problem that can now be fixed easily!
steady the hood in the center with your thumb, then CAREFULLY bend the sides of the hood forward. this will make the hood sit flush. It may take more than once to get it done, but it works!!!!!
Does he have the matrix that fits under there like Takara Rodimus Prime?
Yes he does, I just dont have it installed in the pic.
a little off topic here but figured i would ask, is the engine remolded from the takara release to fit the new targetmaster?
I'll have to try this. Mine sat flush when I first got it, but now it's ajar like everyone else's.
Now if someone can find a fix for those damn elbow panels before mine break...
Comparing my two, both engine blocks looked exactly the same.
If there's a way to attach the Targetmaster to the engine in alt mode, i don't know how.
IIRC, there's at least one review of TRU Rodimus on Youtube that says it doesn't fit in the engine block.
There's a well-disguised panel on the top you're supposed to flip back, revealing a square slot. Either pistol handle can plug in, or you can attach the TM by using the gray bar behind the handle.
Yeah I plug in the grey bar in the back, and rotate the front handle almost all the way forward and in kinda props on the hood to help keep it in place...
To plug the TM onto Hot Rod car, first lift then engine door or panel to reveal a slot. Next, push the gun handle of the TM forward. The rear handle of the TM is the part that will be used to connect onto the engine, pic:
So how is this supposed to work exactly? (The Hood Thing)
I don't know if I am doing it incorrectly, but it ain't workin'...
Will this affect the fenders not sitting flush with the shoulders? (red to red) That actually annoys me more than the orange hood itself.
It's not just the hood, the whole front end won't sit flush. I took mine completely apart, carved and sanded parts, and it didn't make a bit of difference. I think the "rails" themselves that the fenders slide in and out on are the problem--they're dead straight, but they should be angled downwards (more of a twist, really, towards the front)
I honestly cant answer this for you, my fenders sit in perfectly, now with my hood fixed, the whole front end of mine is alost perfect.
That does look good. Could you post another "how-to" photo, taken from a different angle? I'm still not totally sure which way your arrows are indicating.
Hi, is the solution here is for the Hood to sit flush at the car mode or at the robot mode?
