Has anyone seen or posted a review of this guy? I'd really like to see some good side by side comparisons of this figure with the old Red Alert release.

Probably not much hooplah about it - it's the sixth release of the lambo mold, with different colors than the original MP-14. Not much to review - "new colors are nice if you don't already have MP-14, mold degradation is so-so."

Looks good, I like it. Can't really afford it though, so I guess I'll be good with the original release.

Just got this MP-14+ Alert Anime Color Edition in hand today. It's bloody beautiful, a very fetching shade of grey, nicely painted and somehow the colours bring his gorgeous face scupt to the fore. I am really impressed and really quite smitten.

I already have MP-14 as well, but one look at this figure in hand and I knew it required ownership.

    All the best

I'm not really a picture guy, but I have it sitting right next to the original in front of me. IMO if I had to go with just one, the original pops more with the bright white as the main color. The grey looks fantastic in car mode though, and I really didn't realize how different it was based on the pictures that were posted. Outside of the completionist in me, I don't mind having two since we still aren't assured of a Hasbro release, and the differences are large enough where I can justify them both. It does have a little more of a dull feel between all the shades of grey on it and the lack of colored headlights. I would also say that the red on the gun and head come off as a little "KO-ish" in their tint.
