Hey guys, long time since I have been on these boards. I just got laid off so I finally have some time to do some customs. The plan is to do a MP Prime with all metal smoke stacks, fuel tanks, and jet pack.

Right now I have on done is one smoke stack....what you see in these pics. Keep in mind that this is not finished and when done will looke real nice. I just taped it up there next to the stock smoke stack for a comparison shot. When this is done these will be more than meets the eye for sure. Just wait and see.

I am tired of getting the other smoke stacks and worrying about the chrome rubbing off and crap like that. I make these out of aluminum and will bring these to a high polish like chrome. So you will be able to manhandle these all you want and if they get dull you can just polish them back up.

Let me know what you think of the size. Should I go bigger or smaller?

    More pics below.

WOW! Did you machine these yourself? Look's great! Next thing it needs are the holes. I say your dead on with the size of them. Keep it up!

Stainless steal would be great material for this, but I don't have any.

I will be waiting on doing the holes. I need mor tools to make that happen

Dude aren't you on macrossworld too. I have not visited the forums for a few years. Your name sounds familiar.

So, my idea is to make mounting brackets like the original so these will still have that spring pivot action. I am going to make these so they can pivot and removable in case you need to polish them or just have some other ideas for display. These actually look really nice in that brushed metal look but I polished them so they would match.

In these pics they are just taped to Prime so they may not be perfectly straight. Also notice the top half of one is slightly bigger round than the other. I am still deciding if thinner or thicker looks better.

I finally got one of the adapter pieces done. This is identical to the stock piece but has a peg for insertion and rotation of the smoke stack. These are still in prototype stage. Once I am please with them then I will move on to the gas tanks and jet pack.
