Got this from Seibertron.com. Very alarming for those who have Masterpiece MP-05 Megatron already...

Mines in good shape as well. Though I have him standing on a smooth surface so that may have helped.

Don't WD40 your plastic toys...you're asking for the plastic to break down.

I think this would be better suited to the Toyark. Worrying news though.

Ugh...mine are rusting as well. The humidity here must be a factor.

Where can I find clearcoat? I suppose I'll have to use vinegar to get the rust off of him.

You could also try cola, though I have no idea what it'll do the paint/chorme (if MP Megs has it).

Yeah, that's kind of a bad suggestion. Maybe if you're really, really careful to only get it on the metal, but WD40 is generally a little messy and very easy to spread around to other parts. I'd just avoid it entirely.

    No problems here.

I keep the humidity in my collection room at no more than 45 - 50% at all times.

Yeesh, mine is in its box....in the closet....in a hot, humid room. Gotta check him when I get home.

I've had a little bit of orange colouring on my MP-05's feet but it seems to rub off with my finger.

It's a fairly dry, well ventilated room that I have my collection in so it's a little worrying. I'll be keeping an eye on this thread!

Pick up a cheap barometer at Wal-Mart for like 2.50$ & keep it in your collection room. That way you'll know when you need to crank up the dehumidifier.

I cannot believe they didn't apply rust protection to these parts. Considering the amount we have invested. $100+. Of course I think the quality control on these guy went to the crapper anyway. Look how loose he is out of the box. Of course with the horror stories of breaking him when transforming him too. Reason I haven't. Now this. Wow.

I cannot accurately express my feelings on this matter without violent, graphic obscenities.

And, I don't want to get banned.

I'll have to check when I get home.

Does anyone who also has MP Voltron know if they at least protected the metal chrome on him? Or are both of my Holy Grail purchases screwed?
