Great. now it's Kiss Play Megatron. Back on topic: To be honest I don't really see the differance (but that might be because my MP-05 hasn't arrived yet...)
I just think (besides the eyeliner issue) his whole face just seems kinda longish is spots. Allow my quick and drity Photoshoped pic to illustrate. Left-normal, Right-changed (I also tilted his eyes a bit).
Man, that look a heck of a lot better, Macraptron took apart his head, and perhaps some how it is possible to make a better version of the faceplate to swap....
Yup, I actually plan on making one for mine, should just take a small chunk of plastic, a Dremel and some glue.
So, how exactly do we go about making this change on the figure?? Cause I reallly like the way that looks...
sliver off the sides of his chin with an exacto knife, then sand with a super high-grit sandpaper to smooth it out. the top would require a bit more work as you have to make sure it still collapses enough without causeing gaps, so you need to trim around the entire bottom of the piece, and then not slide it up so much.
Looking at the G1 toy or a real Walther P38 images you'll notice that the curvature of the handle had to be slightly changed in order to fit his head inside. The problem is not the face, but the helmet - it looks 'squashed' in depth:
Yeah I had issues with the sizing as well..But that would take a whole lot more work that adjusting the face some.
Yeah I can see that the face almost seems too large for the helmet. I'm sorry ZeroMayhem but I think the way you squished the proportions actually makes it look worse. DC the soul patch might look cool. As for the original post, I like the altered mouth a lot actually.
