First, I have to give mad thanks to Jarrod for creating detailed process photos of his jazz/prowl creations, these were a great inspiration/motivation. This is my first custom and it is far, far from perfect (especially those water decals, $&R% those things), but I as a first shot I think he does the job.

Jazz was created from an alternators ricochet core, tamiya porsche935 kit, and gundamn legs/arms. The chest plate, feet, and visor are made from styrene (the ricochet head also modified). Also, the MP mirage pictured was made by Wikkid, another inspiraton. Just crappy Iphone pics for now, comments, suggestions welcome!

This is your first. Holy shit dude. That's amazing. I've been doing this for years and I'm still not brave enough to attempt a reshell.

Jeezus d00d, I wouldn't even attempt a Jarrod Jazz custom and you go and make a perfect replica on your first outing. I see great things in the future if you continue to build.
There's seriously nothing to nitpick. You even made the head far more G1 than the alternators version. Wow, just wow.

Fantastic work my man! Working on one of these (MP Jazz) myself for my first re-shell! What a chore these things are. Even after I've measured 3 times and get ready for my cut, I'm still nervous with each cut I make. Great job on this!

Awesome job! Only thing I could recommend is paneling off the foot/rear car shell so you have a solid foot. But other than that, fantastic! If I ever do another Jazz, I'd like to try doing the shoulders and front wheels like yours....I do think I like the way the fenders are cut and rotate like the G1 toy better.

Man, really glad you guys like it, I'm ashamed to say how long this took to finish but these comments make it time well spent.

For now this is a personal piece. Unless a third party group does a bad-ass Jazz that is less fragile than this one... :)

Will also get some bot mode pics of Wikkid's Mirage with Jazz.

Jarrod, you made my day! :) I fully agree, the lower legs look a little empty. I was having trouble fitting anything more between the legs (that sounds wrong...) in car mode but maybe I will rethink the connections to the fenders to get some room back.
