if u read abit further down it says no longer available, and also that is the reward thing they do, you cant buy it, you have to use points you earn from buying things at hmv, and who would pay more than £1000, for it anyhow?

Aye I know it's the reward thing. Seems to read like it's an exclusive for their reward system, which would be daft, but it might happen.

Also in terms of "no longer available" they sometimes put that if things aren't in stock yet.

So is this actually MP-08 or just the Hasbro version of MP Grimlock?

(Yes, I know the picture is MP-08)

I'm actually thinking they may have got some MP-08 stock from Japan and have just put it on this

That's more than likely, given the very small number they're likely to keep in stock. I can't imagine Hasbro would arrange a production run for something this 'exclusive'.

I'd be surprised if Hasbro have even signed off on their version of MP Grimlock.

Probably listed by a staff member who's a Transfan(?)

..and at the equivalent of 1200 they could probably have each one flown over by a passenger on a plane and still make a half decent profit.

if it's HMV exclusive it'll hurt what will already be marginally low sales (and our wallets, given how pricey HMV generally are for collectables), i'm guessing it's some kind of grey import they're lumping in as a reward points offer because they had/have so few.

HMV certainly wouldn't be my first choice to give an exclusive like this to, one of the supermarkets or big to chains is far more likely. then again, they gave smythe toys flaming fallen, so christ knows what hasbro uk are thinking. :D

Yeh, that's how I'm seeing it. It's the more than likely solution aswell

I'm not entirely sure Smyths got burning Fallen through a standard Hasbro UK channel.

Back in early 2006, they stocked Alt Hound, it was on clearance as soon as they put it out on shelves. (IIRC, this was before they had any stores open in England, - they're Irish for those of you who don't know)

In the preceding months Forbidden Planet said they would be stocking Alt Hound, but IIRC, nothing ever came of that.

Smyths aren't the only ones stocking burning Fallen, Forbidden Planet are as well, although they're not selling it at the subsidised price that Forbidden Planet are.

What i'm suggesting then is that between Hound and the Fallen, Smyths have some sort of non-conventional way of sourcing TFs at times.

like when they had those Takaratomy movie figures.

I never knew they had Hound, I only ever saw Swindle.
