I'm still calling this a hoax till there is more proof. All they said is confirmed without tell the source of their confirmation. I wonder if their confirmation is from that bad photoshop image that posted yesterday from another site. I would be more incline to believe it when reliable Asian toy sites like ACTOYS post something.
Pre ordered just in case. I can't tell you how let down I was when I found out it was a hoax the first time, and the BBTS price is a lot less than I had imagined it was going to cost. It's not the first time BBTS fell for a hoax/wrong info. Alot of times online retailers get their info about new releases from the same sources the rest of us get it...message boards. News of upcoming releases alot of times come out earlier on message boards (due to leak info) than the official news coming from Takara/Hasbro so that's why these retailers keep an eye on these forums. Without an MSRP, BBTS just guess at the price (based on past figures) and adjust the price when/if the official announcement is made (with MSRP).
Didn't BBTS put up pre-orders for Alternators\Binaltech Wheeljack [way, way before the ford GT] and Bumblebee\Cliffjumper years ago? Not buying any of this until there's some serious confirmation.
I am going to open this again and allow speculation. For now, we will treat this as a sponsor update, and you guys can decide if it's real or not. Until we have confirmation either way, just keep the he said she said under control. If/when we get more info, we will post it up.
BBTS will not charge you till they ship the item. If the item is a hoax, they will just cancel the pre-order.
You're right, they have. But Tony explains our reasoning here: It's a no-brainer as far as if it will actually sell if it exists. If I ran Takara, I'd do all Starscream molds in clear plastic, even the ROTF Leader. Maybe with translucent tattoos. I think that would look sharp as hell, actually.
They put up a pre-order for someone's Alternator Wheeljack custom, using Tracks as a base. They even put up pictures the guy who made it posted in this very forum on the product page.
I am ordering it in the hopes that it becomes real. Never had any issues with transparent plastic TFs, and am betting this will transform no worse than the other MP seekers.
If this is true I doubt I'll get it, not for that price. It would still be interesting to see a clear version of MP Starscream, though.
