Not a kitbash but it always bugged me that Megs never had a properly sized cannon. Basically what I'm thinking of doing is to take the G1 cannon and make it fit MP-5 just for an alternate cartoon accurate sized cannon.

So do you think this would work? Keep in mind that the cannon is just sitting on top. No modifications yet. Naturally the cannon would sit lower. And sorry for the crappy pic.

    Man, that looks small.

But if there's a will, there's a way, so I'm sure you'd be able to figure out how to do it.

Yep It's pretty small. I'm not saying it's in exact scale and fits MP-5 but look at the pic below. This is how small the cannon is supposed to be.

too small. I think there's a mistake in the cartoon show or maybe they were not accurate in depicting Megatron's fusion canon that well coz it looks big in some cartoon episodes.

I think this is a more accurate picture of how in scale a perfect sized scope/cannon should have been on MP Megs. Although I don't think that looks too bad, that might have looked better if the MP barrel wasn't the same size as the G1 scope.

Too small, one thing you can't judge sizes by and proportion is the G1 cartoon. They didn't seem to really care about that kind of thing, they were just interested in animating and getting the show out it seems to me at least.

Are you planning to paint the Decepticon symbol to match that too?

I think the smaller one looks ok in robot mode, but how about gun mode?

Looks ok, but would prefer the larger one when it comes to killing G1 Ironhide.
The larger one looks way better when looking down the barrel

Proportions in G1 aren't exactly the best thing to compare to. If a hand gun can become a giant robot, I would think they may have "fudged" the proportions a bit. As long as the original cannon can be held up I don't really see a reason to make it smaller.

It wouldn't be used in gun mode that would look rediculous. It's just an alternate robot mode cannon.
