    Haha!

I was listening to the Radio Free Cybertron Podcast and they were talking about MP-43 Megatron.

One of the guys was so salty about it [not being another G1 MP] that he basically stops talking for the rest of the episode.

I think there should be a good balance struck. Some of the paint jobs on the older cars really make them pop (see MP-18) and IMO, are necessary.

Yeah It's totally hypocritical to expect a high end finish on a premium figure and then when you get that to expect it not to come off during very carful use.

Like I said before there is a balance to be had, MP29 skewed one way, MP36 the other. IMO It's totally valid to criticise both without being called a hypocrite.

Was paint coming of Megatron in places that were rubbing against other parts? I haven't encountered any paint rubbing off issues on pre-megatron MPs...

The problem (IMO) with MP-36 is paint was applied (in some cases unnecessarily) where parts rubbed together during transformation/normal use...now this might have been ok if it were properly protected or durable but instead the finish was very delicate. So say you wanted to put the long barrel on in gun mode, expect to scratch the paint on the needlessly painted gun barrel. Add to that he has a very complex transformation with lots of moving parts with little clearance and you have a recipe for a nail-biting time. Again that is my opinion, milage does appear to vary.

I'm hoping MP43 is not in the next Figure King. Because I am currently in no hurry to get the preorders because I'm on a budget right now.

Takara really does those laughter faces very well! His dino mode is a bit more panel break up than I'd like, but they do fold up nicely in robot mode so I can live with it. Now.....hopefully the price isn't too bad.

    Oh. Yesssss.

He's looking fantastic!! Doesn't seem like we'll have to wait 2+ years like with Dinobot.

NOW, PLEASE don't rape my wallet, Takara-Tomy.

Ooo, he's got some tricks up his sleeve. Screw holes on the outside of his legs in dino-mode, but on the inside in bot-mode.

Looks like his beast mode hides the bot stuff better. Not bad.

The tail is indeed removable and IT'S GONNA HAVE A SPEAKER FOR VOICE CLIPS!? (Unfortunately, most likely the Japanese dub voice...)
