How big is Dinobot compare to mp10
You have no idea how much I appreciate that this T-Rex headsculpt actually has binocular vision.
Officially the greatest beast mode of all time:
The fact that both modes look practically 100% spot on with no compromises, considering how much of the T-rex disappears in bot mode and vice versa, is just astonishing.
Dinobot is about 1cm shorter than MP-10
I know right! Wheres the robot kibble! It's pretty amazing.
So this Meg’s is about the same size as MP10 & MP36 ?
It’s safe to assume that the beast wars line has its own scale ?
At going by the size of Dinobot's golden disk, that scale is approximately 1:6 scale.
So line all your BW MPs alongside your Hot Toys or Sideshow 1:6 collectibles, that's how big they're supposed to be compared to modern humans
I know I am going off topic here, but I loved Toys-R Us as a kid, and with it finally gone and dead under bankruptcy, I really would love to see a homage to their Mascot Geoffrey the Giraffe.
Photo of Geoffrey the Giraffe leaving an empty Toys "R" Us store goes viral - CBS News
Look, I know it seems stupid. Maybe a childish suggestion... But then it was a huge part of a couple of Generations of kids to have a Toys R Us experience. Especially during the heyday of Transformers, GI Joe, Barbie, Rainbow Brite, She-RA, He-Man, TMNT, and so on... To Bratz, Monster High dolls, and so much more.. Marvel Legends! I used to have a collection. And Star Wars.. I'm probably alone on this one. But I would love to see Hasbro of all companies, give us a special Giraffe Transformer of Geoffrey, in a special collectors box, celebrating the once proud place where a kid could be a kid, even us adults. I was a Toys R us kid..
C'mon Hasbro, TRU was good to you, your company benefited greatly from it's outlets.
Or Heck, just license Long rack from Japanese Beast Wars under a Geoffrey Paint scheme..be Cheap! I don't care.. as we all know you are.. Show you have a company that cares, if just a bit..
Phenomenal. I soooo cannot wait for this.
Apparently I really don't like BW scale now.
Is he as big as MP Ultra Magnus and Star Saber? Those guys are huge, quite a bit taller than MP-10 and Ultra Magnus weighs over 3lbs! Been a while since we had an MP their size!
I'm glad someone notices my contributions.
A tiny bit taller, a couple of centimetres at most?
There's perspective at play here but from these images it looks like he's maybe a couple of centimetres taller than Dinobot which in turn is a centimetre smaller than MP-10.
It does, it would be crazy to scale them to the G1 MPs as they would be tiny.
I'd take that with a pinch of salt. I'm not sure they really thought that hard about the scale of the disk when they put it in the show, and as we know TT just copy scale directly from show. A 1:6 scale would make Primal 1.14 metres tall in robot mode, that's considerably shorter than the average height of a Gorilla (1.6-1.7m) and due to his transformation (in reality and in the show) in robot mode he puts on a little height. So I'd say 1:6 isn't entirely accurate and shouldn't be assumed just on the fact they made the disk the size they did. They did that so it look right in Dinobot's hands not to scale with the actual artefact according to the imagined scale of the robots.
Dinobot is not nearly as heavy(or large) as Magnus, he has a bigger head though. I'd imaging Megatron will be a shade shorter than those guys but yeah, he's going to be huge. Especially in T-rex mode where he appears to be even larger!
I think I want him so I can have him fight Grimlock on my shelf
Mm? Isn't Dinobot MP-10 height?
Also, here is the best size comparison picture thus far.
Jesus Christ he is magnificent.
Well in that picture MP-10 is taller anyway but... I did my own size comparison (and measuring) and this is what I got:
That line on my skirting board demonstrates it quite well don't you think?
MP-10 - 24.5cm MP-41 - 23.5 difference 1 cm. either ways there is not much in it.
Dinobot has a gargantuan head
Tru dat....it is show accurate though, it's just his legs are a little on the skinny side (to accommodate transformation) and that gives him that top heavy look.
Separate names with a comma.
