Yup. The price you pay for having a Masterpiece collection. Nostalgia is a hefty price .

Can you not read the article or the first post of the thread? There's even a link to the product page at (ahem) entertainmentearth.com
My entertainment earth rep. I have a wholesale account with them.
If I was willing to pay that much, I’d preorder the TT version from BBTS.
Not sure if Barnes and Noble or Game Stop will carry these, especially at that price. They are both having money trouble and carrying something this expensive that very few will be able to buy is a risk. Can\'t see Target or Walmart carrying these either. They are discount stores and they will have to massively reproduce this and at a very discounted price to sell at their stores. It would be interesting where this actually shows up. So, where is that MP Barricade ending up now that TRU is gone in the US?
No, he didn't. It was rather obviously a (very funny to me at least) joke without him needing to literally highlight it.
There was a recent post on here (in the last week) by someone who actually thought TRU was still open in the states and asked if the sdcc exclsuives and MPMs were going to be released there. So, it may not be obvious to everyone
Nuh-uh. TBH, I'm fairly happy with UN-31.
Oh, it's certainly not obvious to everyone.
So Basically I can have a barney the Dinosaur or a Gigantic Optimus Prime MPPP-10+++ for about the same money.
I'd like to buy Robo-Barney - but I'm not paying Combiner Money for him - I'll tell you that much.
Nope. Too much for most collectors I know. I can get 3 Fanstoys figures for that price and the quality will be much better.
Hmm... Still $223 shipped from Japan... I'm good. Only way I'd think about buying it is if the audio was replaced with David Kaye recordings. Which I doubt it will be.
I'm sure it's just a straight up Takara import. Hence the BBTS/TFSource/etc... Pricing.
I have feeling like connector with cockpit and rails in chest are metal in TT releases. If not, that tricked me very good.
That still does not change my opinion about US releases. Maybe I really had bad luck.
Oh boo hoo.
Collectors wanted the MP figures to be on a premium level. And now they have to pay for it...literally.
Beast Wars MP's are always going to be more expensive because of the amount of detail (scales, fur etc) to paint on, the normal MP's don't have this issue as they are mainly flat colours. Megatron was only expensive because he had to transform into a gun and actually be useable in robot mode (unlike the original MP Megs)
Speak for yourself
You are forgetting the price tags on Inferno, Shockwave, and sunstreaker
While there are numerous factors that go into a bonafide Hasbro release, there is no way MP Beast Megs would retail for $320. This is clearly imported Takara stock.
