Transformers Masterpiece Edition MP-43 Beast Wars Megatron - Entertainment Earth

Similar to "Anime" Prowl, EE now has a pre-order page up for MP-43 BW Megatron. Its not live for consumers, but it is live when I log into my distro account.

So it appears that Prowl is not a fluke, and any MP that Hasbro thinks will sell in the US will get a release via EE to your local comic shops. Though not all... Who knows how they decide?

Hopefully it's cheaper than the $300+ release, but I doubt it

That is a little surprising. If they indeed bother to change the chip, the question needs to be asked- is it worth an additional $100 just to have U.S. voice clips?

It’s too bad that TRU is gone- we probably would have gotten an actual worthwhile discount.

Interesting. If it happens and if he does have a David Kaye voice chip and the same deco I may well get this over the TT version.

Edit: oh hang on....that's insanely epensive. I'm out.

They're not importing. Hasbro is selling them to EE, though they will likely be in the "japanese" packaging like Prowl is, with a hasbro sticker somewhere.

I'm confused, I could see the $319 if they were importing like BBTS or whoever that's the MSRP converted to dollars. If they are getting these directly from Hasbro, shouldn't this be a lot cheaper at least competitive with the price of importing. This is like sabotaging your own sells, I get it not everyone knows you can import for cheaper but how many buyers are they getting at $319 versus $250. On somebody's end this isn't making sense.

I think the report is wrong. I believe this is just Takara product being imported and EE just slapped a Hasbro logo on the listing. I also don't believe Hasbro would take a chance on a stateside MP release at $320. They would more than likely cut a few corners in order to bring the MSRP down to the $150 mark. They would also, more than likely, release Primal stateside first anyway rather than take a chance on one of the larger figures in the line.

Do you actually have any basis for that? I ask because the importers are selling him at the exact same price- you would expect a lower price if they weren’t imported

At TRU you would've been lucky to find one. At least in my area.

I was NEVER able to find any MP exclusives here.

I hope this means we'll be seeing more MP BW figures come to the USA stores in the future.
