Unless you're looking for a way out this is just one figure. Maybe you'll like the next one!

Amazon.jp's price is enticing indeed. I guess you're not a big fan of Mr. Rod.

He's currently lighting up our darkest hour in my office at home.

That picture is beyond good, beyond evil, heck I'd even go as far as to say it's beyond my wildest imagination.

Just got mine a few hours ago and love him. I couldn't believe how fast Amazon Japan shipped my order. I'll be ordering my MPs there from now on and the price was perfect. 20180305_212205-1.jpg 20180305_212147-1.jpg

Damn. Maketoys really needs to reissue Downbeat pronto. TT's never gonna release Jazz, and I ain't paying scalper prices.

I agree (except the actual MP box was dinged up). He was about $30 cheaper than anybody was selling him for here. Shipping was nearly as fast as ordering locally. I probably should look there more often. I only went there because I had a coupon (which didn't work).

In fairness, he does have some issues. I still can't get over how much the new deco seems to mask them though. :D

I hope they do to and maybe recolor the thighs white like the old toy and cartoon.

I've heard about the dinged up boxes. It is annoying cuz I like to keep the boxes in good condition as much as possible.

As far as Jazz is concerned, I want the real thing by TT.

None of those half assed attempts cut it for me.

I'd be happy to wait for the real thing, too. But given the licensing issues with Porsche, it could be a long time before a deal happens, if it ever does. Life's short, and Maketoys' comes close enough in the meantime.

Of course, I'd love to be proven wrong.

Got mine today! I love Amazon Japan, price was great and the shipping was super fast! Primus, the color scheme for this figure is spot on awesome, I absolutely love it! And even better, unlike with MP-28, I've had him all morning and afternoon and he still has shiny, perfect chrome!

Think I'm going to stick with Amazon Japan for imports for the foreseeable future

Anyone else notice the metallic purple paint used? It’s beautiful. Check under the motor and the vents under the spoiler. Small accents like this really make me happy. Because I know it could have easily just been overlooked to save enough money to justify the decision.

I noticed (I say this both in awe and frustration).

I want to do some custom work and that color is pretty much beyond my abilities to match acceptably. It's actually why i bought him. Looking at 28 and 40 side by side I think it's just a darker shade of the same insane color (which I also couldn't match).

But, that aside, this deco is far superior to the original. I actually may end up buying a second at Amazon JP's crazy price and try some of the custom/reprolebels stuff I meant to do to this one. But this is just to nice to be the beater I meant it to be.

If they ever do a Rodimus Prime 2.0 I hope he's in these colors.

With MP-40 it's been great kinda re-discovering how pose-able the mold is. Love it.

Hmmm...if weijang doesn’t release hot rod at normal scale, I may have to look into any future reissues of MP-28...

This guy is looking great! Just not what I want in a hot rod.

They may very well do an AKOM repaint of Rodimus Prime, why not?

Good to see that he can hold Firebolt in one hand with the arm posed straight out, am I right that MP-28 couldn't do that so well with such a heavy gun?

Yeah, man, 28's arms can tend to droop. The right shoulder on my 40 isn't super tight, but it's tight enough thankfully!
