Backpack transformation still confuses and scares me, like it's gonna break.

Other than that? Hot damn, this guy is FUN. Looks SO good in both molds. Total hand candy....can't put it down!

The Simpsons episode where they said one particular industry ruined all the good names like Bruce & Lance...

I sometimes find it hard to believe this line has given us all of the releases it has since MP-10, and that it’s still going.

After the course that Classics/Generations took, the cancelling of Alternators/Binaltech, and the inconsistency of the first nine MP releases, this is probably the most consistent line of G1 characters we’ve seen. Not to mention how true to the original renditions of the characters and essence of Transformers these are.

Hard to believe it’s come this far, and that we’re down to only four remaining non-minibot Ark crew members.

Bring ‘em on, Takara-Tomy, and don’t let the minibots be far behind.

I think thats people concern they have a habit of not finishing things or better yet starting things and abruptly stopping. Some of us are too old for them to "abruptly stop" and say decide to pick it up again in 5 or 10 years. Still like youve said Im pleasantly surprised the line has came as far as it has. After Sunstreaker comes the hardest part, waiting till the next reveal:)

I remember the time Chip Chase sued the Autobots because they weren’t handicapped accessible. And it all started because Ol’ Streaker laughed off Chip about how he wasn’t going to chauffeur around some dime store Professor X. The photographic evidence is right here.

The atmosphere around the Ark was definitely awkward after that.

Years later it was suspected Sunstreaker had hired a Decepticon hit bot and had Chip knocked off or rolled down a mountain side “accidentally” leading to the reasoning why he was absent from season three.

Perhaps we’ll never know. It’ll have to remain one of those Ultra Magnus Unsolved Mysteries.

Does anyone know if the ones coming from Anime Export have the coin? All of my previous ones didn't and I just wanted to see if this is any different before I order the coin on ebay.

    It won't.

Takara distributes in Japan and doesn't do the coins. Hasbro Asia distributes to the rest of Asia and they do the coins.

Hasbro USA and Hasbro UK just don't bother with anything, lol. Well, ok, maybe one per year for the USA ;)  but no coins either.

I hope that police Sunstreaker gets repainted from Sunstreaker. I'd call him Mach Alert after the Car Robots character but would be a separate G1 character instead.

I think it's fair to say that Sunstreaker is my favourite MP so far - two weeks in and I'm still loving this guy.

Yeah, I can understand concern based on those past experiences or situations. For me, those experiences with Takara-Tomy and – more importantly – other life experiences have led me to a point of appreciation for what I have and a letting go of expectation.

I also kind of burned out my obsessive completionist tendencies several years ago and no longer find I have an overwhelming urge to have all of the Ark crew as quickly as possible. I really like the official Masterpiece line and enjoy the process of following a figure from reveal to release. The long-term anticipation seems to make collecting them more enjoyable for me and makes for a better experience when I finally have them in hand. It’s almost like finally obtaining a “grail” figure you’ve been seeking out for years.

So I’ve never ordered from an import site before and wondering if it’s better to do so rather than an eBay seller for this guy. I had been thinking about mp-34 for a while but the overwhelming reaction to this guy has swayed me.

Yea, HLJ or AmiAmi are solid choices.

Even though he's sold out there, I'd steer clear of Anime Export for any item. They have piss poor customer service. If you place more than one order at a time, you run the risk of them "losing" that second order.
My MP39 order has mysteriously vanished and they are not responding to my emails. To say I'm a little fragged off right now would be a massive understatement.

That being said, the MP39 I ordered from HLJ arrived quickly. He is an absolute thing of beauty.
