Although I collect third party as well, there's something so nice about seeing official only bots, oh look, Sunstreaker and the van bros fit in perfectly despite whatever nonsense the Hasui extremists/loyalists spout!

We're still talking about transformers here.....right?

    :D

Random question...where the hell is Dannyboy?

It's amazing how far we've come, actually.

We're well over the halfway point of the big Ark bots. How cool is that?

    @malware5: think dannyboy was banned

Seriously! Old man me was able to transform this without the instructions 2nd time around. I enjoy simple! Backpack is a little scary still though.

Not gonna lie though. Buying 1 of Sunny was a charity for Takara. The main course will be the police deco...which I'll buy 3 of!

My sincere apologies to all for asking and pardon my ignorance. But why is the police deco such a big deal? I’d like to be educated in a positive fashion. Thank you in advance.

I can't vouch for everyone, but for me growing up in the 80s, I thought the fictional supped-up Countach was the coolest thing EVA!

But as a police car? Even more awesome. So it's personal thing.

    Putting out the @Maz signal:

From what I know, the original Diaclone Car Robo Countach wasn't released in yellow. It was released in red or with a police deco. While originally the character of Sideswipe was assigned the red version of this mould, there ended up being a mix-up and a yellow version named Sunstreaker was released instead (this is why Sideswipe is described in his bio as having a jetpack and pile-driving fists). That makes the red version a pretty interesting variant, as it's how Sideswipe was supposed to look.

I think most people just like the police version because it looks badass

Ah diaclone. That’s reason enough. I got Loud Pedal because I liked his color scheme knowing full well he’s also a Diaclone.

For more info, check out Maz's article on the topic. Always an interesting read:

    Square One: Diaclone "Police Sunstreaker"

Wonder if they'll make the police one a Decepticon, seeing as he has red eyes and all.

    :lol

The name actually comes from Diamond Cyclone.

If I told my wife what transformers means, she might think gender altering robots. But it’s not the case as she has seen my collection full well. Sunstreaker is still perfect for me with not one transformation complaint. That’s why I check videos to thoroughly understand what I might be tackling before I jump in. Insurance protection.

And what a happy exit indeed. These first party forums feel at peace again for the most part. Glad we can be together as a community

    Sadly, he was banned.

He truly didn't know how to handle himself around the "I have a KO fetish" crowd and the 3P lovers defending or suggesting their shitty version vs the TT counterpart. Sad indeed, he'll be missed.

As much as I love some 3rd party figures none of them have impressed me enough with their carbots so my original Ark crew looks exactly the same as this. I'm desperate for Hound, Mirage, Jazz and Trailbreaker. DESPERATE! A Cliffjumper and a Brawn wouldn't go amiss either.

    EXACTLY!

There's some cool 3P offerings, but their carbots are laughable at best! They simply don't cut it.

    Kibblebeat? LOL!

Sghinix or whatever the hell he's called, I don't understand the praise. Looks like a ballerina.

And of course lol@bigwilly. Just wow. That abomination of a monster truck is not even trying.

I can't wait for TT to knock these out of the park!

Amazing how easy it is to forget about some folks. The 'block' feature in full effect.
