Then I'll wait for KO as I'm not re-buying this mold simply to get another deco that includes the cannon(s). Not at this price. However I'll gladly pay $30 for a repaint in order to get the hand cannon.

 

I doubt there will be a 39+ since he already has a toon deco. My guess is that he will come with a red or police sunstreaker

 

There will obviously not be an MP-39+.

Just like toy-accurate shoulder cannons for Wheeljack came with Exhaust, and toy accurate shoulder cannons for Prowl came with MP-18B, a toy-accurate face and maybe hand launchers is likely to come with a Sunstreaker repaint.

Has anybody at all tried to pull out his hands to see if they can be replaced with hand-cannons? Apparently Cheetor's hands are removeable, still wondering if the same is true for Sunstreaker.

 

I don't think so not the way his hand/arm is designed. If there's a missile it will have to be on an attachment that fits over his hands.

I do love how Hasbro and Takara have been giving the finger to 3rd parties.

Sunsurge is a perfect example of this.
MP-39 borrows some design ideas from him. Like the doors on the sides of his legs and how the windows collapse. The intricate feet and ankles. The shoulder tips and how they fold away, plus the forearms. Heck, even the hidden/fake pieces and the swiveling backpack.

All of it is Takara saying "Oh? That's a good idea. We're going to make it better." and they did. lol

And Hasbro with POTP Rodimus and all the cues taken from Fansproject TFX Protector.

It's just so funny to me. "Yeah, you ripped us off, so we ripped you off and there's nothing you can do about it. We actually OWN this property."

I think it's funny that he's standing with the three Autobots that HasTak needs to get off their asses and manufacture already!

 

That's why he's stood with them lol, hopefully TT magic will rub off into them and we'll get them sooner rather than later. That being said xtb/Mt/ft have all done bang on jobs to make those 3 look very toony.

I have no problem giving credit, I think maketoy and FT did a good job on their respective Hounds, but after these last couple of releases I'm convinced TT's is going to be better.

I just realized this guy is my first ever official G1 Sunstreaker. I had the Alternators version and still have Sunsurge (anyone wants him, I’m selling him for $60 even), but now I have the real thing.

 

My MP-39 arrived today from AE. Seems like it took forever to get out of Japan and then appeared in Colorado lightning quick. I'm very pleased and shocked that my local Post Office didn't sit on it for a couple days.
