This is very relieving news. Thank you kindly! I went with AE over RK this time just to save a few bucks. The thought of losing 50 to save 20 was making me sick lol

I'd also highly recommend Com Truise and Esprit / George Clanton

**edit: that should read 'Clanton' not 'Clinton'

AE shuts down for like a week at the end of the year, though, right? I'm so impatient and anxious for this guy I don't think I can wait, I'd rather pay the extra $10 from HLJ to have him asap. The thought of finally having Sideswipe's bro, a carbot on the quality level of MP Megatron, is mind melting!

Bring this back, just went ahead and cancelled my BBTS order for Sunstreaker and Sideswipe and went with AE. Saving over $70. BBTS is my go to store, but I couldn't pass up that savings.

My experience has been that NY has slightly cheaper prices, but more expensive shipping than AE. The net result is AE is a little cheaper overall.

I order from AE on occasion, but get the vast majority of my stuff from NY because I can choose when I want to pay for my orders. AE is great, but their pre-orders tend to sell out pretty quick and I'm not always ready to plunk down the coin as soon as a PO is announced.

Can't really go wrong with either though. Although, some have had issues with NY's customer service, I've never had any issue with them (although it briefly looked like they cancelled my MP-36 order, it turned out to be a clerical error).

NY's reward system is junk though.

After the 26th usually, yup. Sunstreaker is scheduled to be released on the 22nd, so hopefully all orders will go out before they close down.

I preordered two one from hlj since they tend to ship the quickest and the other at AE (with sideswipe).

Gotta love living in the USA! We don't have any tarrifs, customs tax or anything! Just shipping and maybe sales tax. Woo Hoo!

One of the (few!) perks of moving to Russia is we've got the same deal over here! No more customs tax, I've been free to go with AmiAmi and HLJ with no fear. Managed to get a great deal on the cassettes, Grapple and Artfire. Shipping from Japan to here seems to be quicker, too. Happy days

Eh. I'm still happy with my choice to leave the US haha. No sales tax on anything and government healthcare sure beats paying for a tariff that one time in 2013 haha.

This is why you should have a location in your profile. These kinds of debates are pointless when you lack the frame of reference of where the person is buying from.

NY shipping rates to the US are high... we don't care about declared values... and their performance for when they ship seems inconsistent

What a slick looking robot. Love this spin feature (wish it was more mobile-friendly though).

Agreed. All of it looks super excellent from all angles. Takara is really upping their game. I was worried that Megatron would be the pinnacle of the MP series, difficult to top. But Sunstreaker looks like he will be just as good. Can't wait to see what's next!
