I can't justify the price tag on the official...not even when imported directly from Japan.

 

It's not that I don't have the money, or wouldn't spend it on something worthwhile....

There's just a lot of ... "fluff" on the official MP Megs. Electronics & sounds mostly driving up the cost needlessly.
I can do without the stock and silencer too.
I know Takara wants Megs to be a big deluxe impressive piece, so.. great. I just don't need all that.

 

Any chances for a repaint in this color scheme (plus hair piece addon)? The sky's the limit right?   I'd totally get this one!

 

I would take an OS version of this over Wei Jiang any day.

Basically it's what happens when a bunch of guys at Gainax (which left to form Studio Trigger of Kill-la-Kill fame) made a geeky TF parody episode of a series featuring sex-crazed angels out to hunt demons.

Too bad there's no S2, which made that ending the worst kind of a cliffhanger.

 

upon reflection, I actually really like upon reflection, I actually really like the grey as opposed to Silver for Megatron. but I would change the Deco on his elbow so that the whole smaller elbow block is red instead of just the lower half of it, and I would also make red detailing on the insides of his legs. That way it will be similar enough to the official that people who want the official but not for that price would be interested in it, but different enough that people who already had the official might get it anyway. I wouldn't be opposed to a silver one either, but I already have 3 silver Masterpiece scale Megatron's.

 

they might even they might even want to consider going far left and instead of using silver or gray metallic paint, just go with silver or gray metallic plastic to avoid the scuffing issues

I'd be down for unpainted plastic, provided it were sufficiently metallic.

 

thats the only thing. completly silver.
thats the problem with the silencer chipping the paint on the barrel. the paint was originally there when they fitted the stock and most likely added paint after the fans response to it

 

Either way, given the price tag on Takara's MP36 relative to it's build quality, it is screaming to get KO'd.

 

Regular sized, no electronics, fix the paint scratch issues.
