Yeah, release that one you got pictured in the FRONT PAGE! of the manual there TAKARA and youll have another buyer. HASBRO......GET TO WORK! I bet the green one will be a RARE item in the near future and I will be eating my hateful words very soon.
I'm hearing reports that he HASN'T got die-cast. True or False? If true, I swear Takaratomy couldn't have fucked us over more.
He has some but not much; from HLJ - . I'm not too happy about that myself but I still can't wait to get him; mine has already shipped from HLJ .
True, you are hearing those reports. Now what do I win? From the HLJ description, as well as the other thread: "The only metal parts on this figure are some key joints and the base frame. The rest is made out of ABS plastic"
You win +1 posts to your total post count. So, the base frame of Starscream IS die-cast. Just like it was in the original, that's fine. I'm happy with that, but if they just mean the base thing that he stands on, that's dissapointing.
TFSource says F-15 RoboGuy (personally am not taking sides in the whole 'Starscream/not Starscream debate...so I remain neutral ) will ship within 2 weeks...oh the waiting!! At least my preorder is in...guess I should have done it somewhere else if I wanted it faster. Can't WAIT!!!
According to a gallery at tformers, the hip kibble is removable! You can also place it on the legs. Look here
I'll wait a bit before getting MP03.. unless I find it at a good price @ my local collectible show/swapmeet.
Come on Takara-Tomy, get the Toon accurate one out in time for Christmas and I'll fork over the cash right now!
Well it is nice to know you can at least remove the hip and shoulder kibble without braking the figure.
It's off because it hangs too low. The original version of the mold had it slide upwards a bit for robot mode, so the tailfins didn't hit the ground. As it is with the new mold, the tailfins prevent him from standing right. An F-15's tailbooms project well beyond the ends of the nozzles, so you have to move them out of the way somehow, if you plan to stand the robot up on the nozzles. The G1 had them rotate 90 degrees, the original MP mold had them slide up a bit, the current MP mold has them as hip kibble. But putting the hip kibble down on the legs without any sort of way to move them out of jet-mode position, makes them interfere with the feet.
Now, now, what's this "Anime accurate" ver. thing all over again?? It was all a hoax back then, wasn't it? Someone posted a link for a so called "Anime" ver. in another MP-03's thread but it DIDN'T work. Someone PLEASE verify this information..
Those links do work, you need to copy paste them. Although the pictures are of the TFC reissue But seriously, of course Takara Tomy are going to repaint this thing, they've re-released MP Prime ffs. But who needs a repaint, these colours give SS a refined evil elegance.
I kind of figured MP Starscream was released, seeing as how a few guys had some last night at the blue letter Pre-reg pickup at BotCon. They were walking around and showing him off to some people.
