It would seem that via Diamond Comics new issue of Previews Magazine, on sale tomorrow, that the the "Anime Colors" MP-17+ Prowl will be released at US retail. Given that it's being solicited through Diamond, this means any local comic shop should have the ability to order it.

Not worth it to me for only minor paint changes and Blue windows, the original still works fine. But great for those who missed out the first time. It's a really good figure

Easiest way is just to order through your local comic store. There may be some online options as well.

That's where I am with it, too. There's other places I can spend $80...many other Masterpieces I don't own, for that matter. The only appeal is...well...it IS a Datsun. :)  Just need to pull out my old Prowl out of the box after my move...

I paid about $45 for the original Takara release on etoysjapan.com when it first came out, i'm not paying $80 for blue windows, and less paint apps.

Especially, when I prefer the dark tinted windows.

I really liked the Masterpiece line when it was a mix of toy and cartoon. Now that's it's fully cartoon based, i'm starting to lose interest.

I've been curious if this is also part of the "Brand unification thing." While everyone looks at the apocolypse of Takara decos I've been wondering if perhaps the flip side is that we'll actually have access to what would normally be a Japan only release. It'll likewise be a bit of a double wammy since it means we won't get Hasbro's more toy based decos (even though we really haven't gotten those since Thundercracker or maybe Soundwave anyway. Sadness).

A Hasbro release was kinda, sorta already implied what with it being listed at Entertainment Earth, complete with its own Hasbro product code number (E3586, which is the same one listed in the Previews catalog). I assume that means it's not a Diamond exclusive.

Also, here is the Diamond online listing.

Anyone with an Entertainment Earth account who can find out the UPC barcode? I could use that to check if it's listed at Amazon too.

Oh yeah Amazon gets these, but aren't they usually sold by 3P? Which means marked up...
Eh they might charge even more...

I prefer either the original MP, or an IDW 350z version.

I was actually not talking about third party sellers but about the possibility of a "shared exclusive" or even a "wide" (at least online/specialty) release, i.e. if both EE and Diamond are soliciting it, an official sold-directly-by-Amazon option might exist as well. I'd need a UPC barcode to verify this possibility.

Not to be petty, but at least two of us announced this in the main thread when it went up on the Diamond retailer website.

NOT good new if you ask me...People thought TRU mark up was bad? My local comic shop charges $25 for a deluxe and they get everything from them.

Since this is a Takara Tomy Mall exclusive and AE lists the preorder at $100, I'd say this is a pretty good price. Maybe TRU not being the exclusive outlet for MP's is a good thing?

So this means it will be sold in a not so much expensive price.
Here in our country, Action Figures sold in comic shops distributed by Diamond aren't expensive.

DC Icons for example are sold within the price range of current Marvel Legends compared to over expensive DC Multiverse Action figures by Mattel in retail.

But our TRUs here are alive and kicking. So I bet it will be sold in our local TRUs.
I'll be damn surprise if our prime comic book shops here carry MP17+.
