Ugh, it's getting harder and harder to not pull the trigger on that anime-Alert. Looks soooooo good.

 

It is, I have literally zero regrets about it. One of the biggest 180s I've done on seeing something in person that I can remember.

This mold is still new to me, I only own a KO of Lambor (which is crumbling apart) and a G2 Swipe, who is up for sale at a steal of a price  , so I am really in the market for a mainstream figure with this mold.

 

Point being , there still toon accurate , just different episodes.

 

I ended up caving on this guy and gave him coming with my Inferno shipment. I think they will look fantastic together and am now really excited to have him in my collection.

 

I was wondering this too as all of my carbots so far are KO's. Allows me to save more money for the big bots.

 

Snatched this up during Ebay's flash sale a month or so back. This will go nicely with either my Backdraft or inbound Inferno.

 

Other than his hands being worse than my Lambor, he is perfect and the deck/paint us superb. So glad I skipped the original release Alert.

 

The KFC hands are much better.

 

Does this seem to be selling quickly, or is it another one of the MPs that will end up in next year's Black Friday fire sales? I'm tired of overpaying for stuff that ultimately ends up on clearance.

 

I think you can wait but maybe not a year. I didn't want to like him but I caved. I think it helps that I don't have Clampdown or Tigertrack.

 

So given the controversy concerning the MP trend toward hyper-toon accuracy, I was thinking of having my display consist of Magnus, Inferno holding Alert + and Shockwave thrown in for good measure ... surrounded by the other MPs in a desperate last stand

 

He has more paint than the regular mp14. Feels heftier too. Highly recommended figure.

 

Dont forget to give em pithforks and torches while chanting " Fail, Kobayashi, Fail."

Paint on MP Alert+ reminds me of the thick paint on MP Ironhide. Thick, heavy, almost sticky, gloopy.

Paint on Lambor (I don't have the original Alert) and all earlier the carbots feels much thinner and sharper.

Like the difference between a B pencil and a H pencil.

I don't prefer either, they are just different.

 

Do the fenders/door areas go back better after transformation than the original ones? I could never get the panels to all line up correctly once I took those out of alt mode.

 

I keep missing out on the various ebay-discounts to get this.
