The face is the icing. I never knew how much I hated the silver face. Now I'm thinking all silver faces gotta go. Red went from 'it exists, it was in the original show.... So I should own it.... I guess....' to 'this is a great piece in my collection'.

 

just got around to putting this into robot mode and i think i made the right choice selling red alert for mp dirtydishcloth   looks much better imho  

 

The color is kind of weird, like he's permanently in the shade haha. Much better than the original, though they should have remolded the doors for the arms

 

Picked one up during yesterday's ebay flash sale. I really wish Takara went with this deco to begin with.

 

With anime-color repaints, how is anyone to know which G1 episode portrays a character's true coloration? This screen capture is from "Auto Berserk", in which Red Alert appears to be white, like the hose nozzles attached to Inferno's head— not grey, like Inferno's front bumper.


I don't think MP 14+ looks bad, I'm just curious about the red & grey repaint, which seems to be based on one of Red Alert's more minor appearances, in "Dinobot Island Part 2".

 

He really looks good and now I'm glad I didn't opt for the first release. I know the red upper legs and blue paint apps on the shins are accurate to the original toy but I prefer the anime look more. The white upper legs to me just fit the figure better. Once I get enough ahead, I plan to get him to go along with MP Inferno when he hits.

 

His head sparks are blue in that episide too yet this anime version has orange. Go figure.

I do like the look of the off white/grey but like you say, white is equally as accurate.

 

Got an email from RK saying they're sending the coin with my Thrust order.

 

I think it was Blaster Blues where they were orange, right?

Honestly have no idea lol. I only remember the one episode where he had blue sparks so you could be right!

 

Had to look it up, but yea one time his helmet ears did appear orange but it was more a "light up" instead of the usual "spark up" (Pic from Seibertron) But until now I just took for granted it was always sparking up blue.

 

Yeah that doesn't look like sparks, it looks like his 'ears' are lighting up. I guess it's loosely accurate.

 

Yup Totally agree. I prefer the direction Takara has gone with the face paint. The flat color looks so much more characterful, allows the sculpt to shine through and you don't have the weird reflections that happen with metallic face paints.

 

Got mine today.  LOVE IT.  The colors are just so beautiful on this thing!  Love the muted grays and whites.  And the whites are paint!  I usually hate all white figures in fear of the yellowing, but it\'s nice to know that the whites are pretty much paint.  I think event he plastic car parts around the feed are painted too!  I\'m usually not one for getting multiples of the same mold, but having both Sideswipe and Anime Red Alert is sooo worth it.  Super happy with my purchase!

 

Kudos to the creator of this Countach skin in Forza Horizon 3. Not quite grey enough for my liking, though.

 

Even though the colour is not white but actually it looks quite awesome for this MP14+

 

Got mine from BBTS yesterday. After taking him out of the box I notice he was missing part of the light bar (see pic below).   I contacted their service department. From what I hear they should help me out.

 

What part of the light bar is missing? It looks fine to me.

 

I think he's saying it's knicked. It's got a small piece of plastic dinged out around the hole.

 

Well don't I feel silly. Looks like that hole is there for gun storage. Thanks
