    The Asian versions of the last couple of Masterpiece figures came with coins (and in MP-9's case, a large paper bag and cardboard display box).

    Seeing as this announcement is from Robotkingdom's FB (Hong Kong based online retailer). It's probably the same case here.

    So, if you've ordered yours from a Japanese source, the coin won't be included.

    I don't need a coin or for Takara to have one more excuse to jack up the price even more. If there continues to be an option to buy Masterpieces without coins, I will continue to exercise it.

    They don't cost anything more. It's only on the Hong Kong version I think [so if you get yours from hlj, amiami etc it's not included].

    I find it interesting that they're using the terms "Cybertron" and "Decepticon" on a G1-related item. It might be because Hasbro has a hand in making it, but all the same Takara is pretty gung-ho about using the worldwide names over the old Japanese-exclusive ones lately.

    I got excited because I thought this meant it would come with the coin AND be released as a store exclusive in the US, a la MP Roddy.

    Alas, I am disappoint.

    I would take solid, problem free, quality build figure over any of additional unnecessary accessories.
