I am probably late, but I just noticed that the card and box has him designated as "New Destron Leader". Funny!

 

For those of you wondering about the color of the nosecone.

Going by pictures with the radar exposed, it appears molded grey.

Hasn't happened to any of the 9 i've got

Didn't even happen to the original Mp3 when i had that.


I guess i just beat the spread.

hoping that the face isn't that dark. Could it just be the shadow cast by the crown?

 

I wonder if people still think he has a second face (like TCracker said he does) even though there has been no photographs to indicate he has a face swap gimmick like the first one did.

Duhhh (to me)... yeah I think that's exactly where they go. I totally forgot that those sections lift and have storage capacity. My bad.

 

My hope is that A) there IS a second face, and B) it's a lighter grey / silver version as pictured on the box so that people can choose their "accuracy"... sort of like how MP Grimlock had the choice between red or blue eyes dependent on what people preferred of toy or toon accuracy.

 

Looking good. Not only is the lower leg different because of the rear stabilizers being connected to it, it's substantially larger all around. Cool!

 

You're going to be disappointed. I believe they kept just the one face in order to not have it be compromised by the face swap gimmick (like the original).

Also surprised people were expecting a stand when the product call outs never said there was going to be one.

Alt mode = very nice, but not as good as OG mold.

I suppose that's the trade, which mode do you want to me the most "realistic"?

 

Well that's weird then, because these pictures have the serious face while the promo shots have the "wut, u mad?" face.

I don't think that the paint will be different but why the wrong face for the promo shots?

 

I said I would wait for more detailed pics, and this just isn't doing it for me. I hate the changes to the alt mode, and the grey plastic looks terrible. Not worth upgrading to me.

 

I think people were interpreting the face as something different based on the lighting. We never had any call-outs or photos comparing a difference.

I could be wrong, but I think it's just the one face and has always been that way.

I'm fairly sure the were two faces a smirk one and plain expression, on the proto's like the "smirk" in my sig pic and the standard pose had a plain expression:


But looking at them further they could all be the same sculpt so i'm not sure

 

Maybe, maybe not. I'm sure we'll know in a few days if not sooner.

I'm thinking it's the same face and he doesn't have a changeable expression. I'd be glad to be proven wrong though (as more features are always good).  

I think in the attached image his face looks the right color.

Maybe its the lighting but that grey plastic has a sort of "cheap" look, like it would be more at home on a deluxe figure. The overall 'finish' just doesn't look Masterpiece quality to me.

Also the underside of alt mode is a huge step backward, although I do prefer the new feet.

Gotta be honest, I'm kind of liking iGear's interpretation the best of the three...

 

Hello 3rd party are you there?

I need you to make me a MP-11 Starscream Stand and maybe a throne while your at it.

 

I hate to say that I _might_ agree with that mold wise, but I think that deco wise this version just crushes.

 

A real hologram pilot! finally   I was expecting a clear Dr Arkeville again. Starscreams looking awesome, but I am going to have wait for reviews. After the QC ridden release of mp09, I learned my lesson of buying MP's during the first run.

 

My thoughts exactly. Maybe even MP-03. I'm still hoping this guy get a US release without the coronation junk.
