This is bound to be a hot topic because surprisingly he's going to come with the trailer and all of his accessories.

Here's my logic: Generally, the USA versions of each Masterpiece figure have been priced at roughly half the price of their of their Takara counterparts albeit most of the USA versions have come with less and/or different accessories than the Japanese versions.

So I'm going to say that the TRU Version is going to be between $125-$130.

    $129.99 is my guess.

    What do you think?

    I think lol no.

I'm going to point out that TRU has extreme difficulty moving Transformers at $80, so adding another $50 to that isn't going to appeal to them.

My guess is that they'll aim for $80 at most.

I agree. Where there is so few differences between the two releases, I think that's about the price will be.

I'm thinking around $100. It IS a much bigger package deal than Grimlock or Rodimus Prime, since this does have the trailer, Spike, and Roller; plus it's Optimus Prime. The cheaper the better, of course.

Grimlock was $70 and came with MUCH less than MP-10 will.

I can't see it at less than $100 and knowing TRU's price gouging ways, probably more. Just my opinion though so take it FWIW.

    I'll be happy if it's sub-$100.

if ultimate Optimus was $80 at tru i'm pretty sure it will be atleast $100 to $120 and very very limited due to the high price tag it might carry.

I thought I read that someone had given a rough estimate of $100?

Regardless, I'm guessing that amount, or $99.99 since anything over that hits the "WTF!?" mark for casual consumers and TRU doesn't want to possibly stuck with something that eats up so much shelf space.

Then again, we're talking TRU here, Home of the $27 Voyager. So it could be as much as $129.99, but I think the effort to cut down on paint apps, even the thin coating of red that gives MP-10 an even finish, was an attempt to get this guy to the most reasonable cost possible.

In other news, I'm really glad this toy made it out of Japan intact! I'm happy for everyone who gets a more affordable shot at one of my favorite TFs ever. Love the brighter eyes and yellow shoulder lights. Lots of gray plastic, but that's a very minimal sacrifice when you're saving $150. Or close to that.

Are we sure this is a TRU exclusive? I mean, I know the past couple of MPs have been, but I didn't see that explicitly stated anywhere. Correct me if I'm wrong please, since I probably am.

Was confirmed at Botcon that it is a TRU exclusive and that it would be $100 Canadian so whatever that means for US, who knows.

You've seen people guess $100. After pages of quoting and repeating that guess, people start to think it was some kind of Hasbro statement rather than random fan guess.

Which, although complete shit as a toy, was also a large size Optimus with transforming trailer. I don't think MP-10 has any legit reason to cost more than "Ultimate" Optimus. I think TRU will make more money by selling a greater number of units at a relatively cheaper price than they would trying to sell fewer units of any TF for over $100

Wouldn't doubt if it comes out at the same price in the US. If it is $100-120 down here, it is definitely a 2x buy. $80-$85 is a 3xer for me.

Well just to put it in perspective, the MP-01 (I think it was) was $65 here at wal-mart a little while ago so.. I think it will be $100 easy..

They'll set it out at 89.99 then as soon as it starts selling well raise it by twenty or thirty dollars. Like the last two MP exclusives were sold and raised upon restock. Count on it.
