    found on allspark :)

The Allspark: Transformers News Movie Comics Animated - Mp-09 Rodimus Prime Second Version Details?

"* The backpack/spoiler holds in place much better (though there's still no solid clipping-on).
    * The right hand hole holds the rifle tab firmly, even in combined mode. The left hand is loose, but some fiddling with the thumb gets it to holds the gun in place well.
    * The ankle springs no longer uncoil during transformation.
    * The hands fit fully inside the forearms when using the saw or welder.
    * The side leg panel is now held on by what looks like a pop-off metal and plastic pin instead of the original unremovable (and fragile) pin. It's much looser, but stays in place in both modes.
    * The spoiler still scrapes in the trailer, but since only the robot was exchanged, maybe they're altering the trailer slot instead.
    * The shin panels still don't tab in place well under the car mode."

Good to hear they fixed a lot of the figure's issues.

Kinda upset mine was essentially a "test bed" per say, but I'm glad to see the people buying the second run and the Hasbro release will have a better product.

So they certainly fixed a lot of stuff with the redo-release. But, what did they break? Past MP re-releases have traditionally had problems. Upside-down headlights, flipped chest vents etc etc.

I think all Rodimus owners are entitled to an exchange for the new version, when a product is defective, they run an exchange program, it's very common when it comes to consumer electronics.

Since I only have HotRodiumus in bot mode none of the defects affected me.

My back holds tight and the shins never had an issue. The only issue I had was the gun.

I look forward to the American release with the Target Master. Would be nice if Hasbro add the fixes to their version.

It still sounds like some major flaws exist. I'm disappointed to hear the spoiler is still scraping against the trailer.

I'm glad they "fixed" the issues with the new one. I never had any of the issues with my rodimus.

"Allspark Member SwiftEagle obtained a replacement Masterpiece MP-09 Rodimus Convoy from TakaraTomy last weekend."

So Takara do actually take direct responsibility for this? That in itself is news to me.

A lot of the changes were probably made while redoing the toy for Hasbro cause of the stricter safety standards and such. I assume hasbro release will be the same as takara 2nd.

And Takara use it as an excuse to reissue Mp9 with 'fixes' that should've been there in the first place.

As you can tell, i'm on a real down with Takara these days.

They should at least offer parts to fix the first issue one. I'd take that, My shins and feet are fine because I never transformed him, but the backpack barely locks and you move the arm and the chest unpegs :(
