Not the most earth shattering of news but we got a solicitation this morning that MP-09 will be re-released in September to coincide with the MP-10 release.

Looks like takara are going all out for 2 MP's each time at the moment what with Last Shot and Megs coming out at the same time.

 

Is it a straight up re-release or does it have design improvements?

 

Yeah I'd like to know if quality control was increased for this re-release.

 

There are a few fixes for the return products.
New parts are made to replace the weak spots, especially with the legs (panels and feet).
Overall quality is the same.

 

Just tweak some of the QC areas and I'll be happy.

 

I'm inclined to take this as further evidence that Hasbro have no concrete plans for the thing.

 

im game for this i missed the first release so hopefully this one will fill that gap on my shelf

Well, I'm bit tired of some "QC syndrome" writing...even if some faults, Rodimus looks fantastic.

 

wait, there is need for a re-release this soon? i'm still amazed we are getting TWO brand new mold masterpieces in one year

and the QC on mp rodimus is not as bad as people say it is, all toys that size and price have problems

 

but they do   and sooner than people think

 

Cool, I'd like to give this a shot second time around. I was put off by all the negative reports and the price in the initial run, and though I expect it to be even more expensive than the first run, the QC fixes might just make it worth a punt.

This. Oh man, as usual with MP releases, a bunch of people are going to be pissed, and a bunch of people are going to be happy.

Since I canxed my first order, I think I'm going to be in the latter category.

 

Guess I shoulda waited.....

 

Hoping that the Hasbro version get announced at Botcon I've already got an MP Rodimus I just want to get a couple of just Hot Rod to display in different modes.

 

Yeah, they'd better put this thing out in the states eventually. If they don't announce it at Botcon I'll be miffed.
