I would have better like having a new Autobots instead of a repaint of MP3...

 

Awesome news! After seeing all the great MP-03 customs I almost broke down and started to work on a Skywarp myself. I'm glad I didn't!

Also, to the poster who mentioned a black 14/16/18: Link? I always like lookin' at nonstandard paint schemes.

 

I called it...I called it....I just ordered MP Starscream last week and I said, "the day or week after I order him, something else is going to come up".

 

Still no love for Thundercracker? Geez, the dumb one does always get more attention. Oh well, I haven't gotten the dough to get MP Screamer yet, so maybe I might for this one if they fix up the issues that MP-3 had... And get rid of that stupid hip kibble...

I would prefer a blue one ala Thundercracker. Never liked Skywarp's color scheme.

Man, what a cop out. They just need more time to make a real new Masterpiece.

 

Assuming they release a 'correctly' colored Starscream down the road, then I would be fine with MP-3 as Thundercracker, MP-6 as Skywarp, and the 'perfect' Starscream. Ideally, they'd have done Starscream right in the first place and I could have had an ideal TC as well, but I won't spend 400 on that mold....300 is pushing it as it is.

 

If this is true, I definitly going to buy him. Skywarp would be great in altmode en Starscream in botmode  

 

Much better looking than the Starscream. Still dont know if I will get one though.

 

Part of me is pretty excited the other is eh. First off I didnt buy MP 03 because of the crappy paint job, the fact that compared to Megs or Prime he looks like a minibot and the infamous QC issues and of course the hip kibble. If they can solve all or most of those problems then I could see myself buying one but I'm definitely going to hold off on that for the forseeable future.

 

Cool! Now all we need is Starscream & Thundercracker and we have the core MP seekers!  

 

I dunno, guys. Think about this. If you only wanted to buy one copy of the "MP Seeker" mold, I'd hold out for Starscream with the crown and cape. No, I'm not 100% sure it'll actually happen, but his shoulders already have a slot for shoulder armor to fit into. This way, if you can only afford one MP Seeker, it'd at least be Starscream with the armor parts.

And, I hope it comes in the right colors this time...

And that's why they do it instead of giving us new toys. *sigh* Here's what the lineup should be:

06- Grimlock
07- Astrotrain (classics colors)
08- Hot Rod or Rodimus Prime
09- Shockwave
10 and beyond- repaints and perfect editions, especially UM's trailer and maybe extra parts to make Hot Rod into Rodimus?

Other suggestions: Soundwave and Blaster, Bumblebee and Cliffjumper set of 2, Ramjet/Dirge/Thrust, Blitzwing, Perceptor (could be a working microscope!)

 

  How is that analogous to redecoing Starscream into Skywarp?

Anywho, I may have to bite on this one. I passed on MP-03, but I have considerably weaker resistance when it comes to Skywarp. I just hope they strengthen those wing hinges, or whatever it is that keeps splitting on people's MP-03s.

Hot Rod or Rodimus Prime as MP-07 would mean instant pre-order for me.

Up to this point, there has been only ONE straight repaint in the Masterpiece line (MP-02). Not too shabby.
